Love the old footage, the new old, and the new.
I challenge modern Telemark skier today who use plastic boots, heavy-duty full-boot bindings, soft parabolic shaped skis to try on some ankle cut leather boots with laces, three-pin toe bindings and an old pair of straight wood skis. Most modern skiers today coulsn'r ski the old stuff from the 1970s/1980s, or even 1990s; not at first anyway. It is very difficult to do. Today's equipment almost skis by itself compared to the old stuff. I cannot imagine how they did it back in the beginning with leather bindings and leather moccasin shoes!

Скитур и телемарк все равно большая разница, ч застал телемарк среди горных туристов на Байкале зимой в 60 х, 70 х, даже еще в начале 80 х весь вокзал г слюдянка был в лыжах Телемарк, все электрички на Иркутск, еще и в 90 е оставались энтузиасты и даже в начале 2000 годов встретил в Долине Мамая мальчика лет 17 на сноуборде и отца его на телемарке и старый выдавал на нём почище чем на вашем видео
