    It was my dream since childhood when we learnt about the Crusades in school to visit the Krak. When I went to Syria for work just before the war my friend Ali took me there. It is simply a world wonder ... and this film does it justice.

    Incredible frankish architecture

    • @ashraftarabishi2319
      @ashraftarabishi2319 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not frankish. Arab. A replica of other castles in the region with similar defence features that has never been touches by crusaders like Aleepo castle. These castles were only built in europe after crusaders came back to europe from Syria with many skills. Bathing, perfumes, castle building, etc.
      Damascus and Aleppo castles were built with stones and towers and similar structure well before crusdaers. Europe only had such complexity in castle building around 100 years after crusades.

    • @a.rygertor6926
      @a.rygertor6926 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@ashraftarabishi2319 look an Arab telling me about European castles, the castles in England,France,Italy,Germany are older than Islam infact older than Syria Palestine a land the Romans named in the middle east, those are crusaders strong hold after the fall of Jerusalem from saladdin in 1187, it was built in European frankish style you can see the mounds constructed upon which the castle stands, that alone tells you that it's European and definitely frankish.

      @@a.rygertor6926Nice. It is European architecture but there are proof like Alamut and Masyaf are also built this way and Saladin and Mamluk castle are also built this way.
      your statement that your forts are older than Syria is absolute wrong. Syria is one of the most ancient civilizations(Mesopotamia) which was there even before Greeks(Europe's first civilization). Just search a little bit. But yeah this is correct that this was built by France crusaders and it's design is more similar to Europe rather than to Ayyubid,Mamluk castles.
