What I really liked about the fight is that Zoro won through sheer swordplay. King was throwing out these huge fireballs and fire dragons; basically trying to cook him alive and Zoro just beat him with raw speed and technique. _Technique_ being the key factor there. He wasn't necessarily the _strongest_ though that could be argued. Zoro was just the better _swordsman_ in the fight.

But looking closely at yesterday's episode, King's technique relied on throwing that fireball. After defeating him, Zoro wanted to be recognized as the King of Hell, but I'm waiting for the fight between Kaido and Luffy for him to activate Gear 5 or Gear Five, however you want to call it.
