I've been in the reefing hobby for over 20 years and if I see aptasia I take the rock out and hold the rock over a cigarette lighter with the aphasia directly above the flame. 100% success rate and costs nothing
Bought peppermint couple months ago and didn't even bother touch aiptasia. Went after friend advice and get couple more. Sorted my problem in matter of days. You need make sure that these shrimps get some food or may go after your corals.
A small dose of lemon juice in a hypodermic needle and then quickly inserted into the mouth of pest will kill off any aiptasia. Always works for me with no issues.
I got desperate at one time,,and put a Koran angel in the tank,,,I couldn’t believe it,,it targeted the aptasias,,wiped them out..put him back in his normal tank..job done..
Always been a fan of the Aiptasia Eating Filefish. Don't have one at the moment, and have caught glimpses of one or two Aips appearing! Never had an issue with corals. Will be getting a new one asap.
I bet the new fish was a Naoko wrasse (their the most amazing wrasse ever with a huuuge personality and we found that out after only 2 days of having it) buuuut we cant have a peppermint shrimp cause we ain’t getting rid of it and not spending money we could use on other wrasse Edit: was not expecting that fish it looked like a naoko tho
I did that. Chipped of the rock it came in. No aiptasia for four years until another came along a frag and spread like wild fire killing many sps. Peppermints did the job. So far no aiptasia since 2 years

As a new reefer I've found so many of you're videos helpful! Thankyou! You inspired me to try and start my own channel!

I've never had this method fail or had any spreading.
I have only read that Red Sea Aiptasia x is a temporary victory and then they come back with a vengeance.
Hi
Use Berghia Nudibranch’s when I find Aiptasia
In my Aquarium It’s natural and effective and works
It’s one of the best kept secrets in the hobby. 👌
Did u buy them online?
Jonny Lopez
I went to pick them up but the shop I got from does sell them on line..

how does one definitively identify whether it is a majano anemone or a bubble or ball tip anemone?
Theres an aptasia in my 150 gal tank for one year and it didnt increase in population for some reason. Should i kill it?
They can do that for some reason where they remain a single head for years. These ones still can suddenly start spreading though
Excellent - if my peppermint shrimp ever fail me, I’ll give it a try. 👍🏻
I’m starting to miss your Sunday reef vids

I use it all the time and it works great. It's never hurt another corals and kills them FAST. Follow what he said and you're good
Majano sold as Tulip anemones, can look very nice. But can over run a tank fast.
Saltwater stress... nice informative video.

When are you coming back?
Soon hopefully, I’ve not been in a good place recently.

HATE THOSE PEST , MINE ARE STARTING TO DIE
Candy basslet?
Nice new fish! I've not seen one before
Chalk basslet?
I've been trying boiling vinegar and it's just been recoiling into the rockwork, now I see two heads >:(
I may have to go with this.
How do you kill vermetid snails?
Dog wormer. Seriously, but it will kill all worms and most snails too. Great for getting rid of clove polyps and xenia too!
How much?
I'm new to reef tanks and have 2 of these little fckers for weeks thinking they are just a feather worm or something
Some are quite pretty
I think it might be a triggerfish
Majanos are also a bad pest but they are pretty looking
My pepper it's didn't work
Very informative
DOES NOT WORK. Eventually all come back!
I need some of that
I've tried four copperbands :(
Did you try putting a piece of food on the aptasia?
👍🏽
Rare and expensive, I'll take two
lol
Never get rid of them impossible. Be in back overflow. Took over my tank after tank had been running for ten year with out any. Tank is now gone 🥵
Its sad... im considering the same. I stayed on top of them until the spreaded so fast..
I'll have some of the indo aip 😂
Lol
