I got a 97 Yamaha 760 for free from a guy selling his house in my neighborhood with the trailer, he had to get rid of it ASAP and it sat under a tree for 6 years and didn't run. But I think I can get it going. Pretty excited
It’s surprising to see how little you can do to get something running that has been sitting for that long
Im still watching...lol. Your wear ring must be on its way out. That ski should hit 45mph. Easily!
I scored a free Yamaha VXR Pro 701 last week. Well. I gave the guy 200$ for a new battery and a few other engine parts. Ski was free though. 147psi both cylinders. Great motors! i have a video up. Loved your video btw! Great score, brother!
@@motovlogunleashed I subscribed to your channel. You have great content dude! 'tip' If you post a few shorts around lunch time hours. You'll grow your subs quick! 12 noon and 3pm is the best time. lol. Make them super short. 10-12 seconds max. People eat up "dirtbike' stuff.
@@StefanMailey thanks a lot man. And yeah I’ve been wanting to make some edits for shorts too. My computer needs some hardware upgrades. Has trouble rendering my GoPro footage in after effects lol
@@motovlogunleashed Just use your cell phone. lol. Look forward to more of your stuff, brother! cheers
I’d get that oem starter rebuilt. It will be better than anything you can buy
I should have done that because the Amazon starter I bought has already started to act up lol
@@motovlogunleashed yeah. I have a shelf full of oem starters that need rebuilt. Anything online comes from China. They don’t last
Curious what the intake grate, impeller and wear ring look like.
The grate isn’t bad, I haven’t checked the impeller or wear ring but I’m guessing it’s not great. I feel like I should be getting more speed and it’s definitely having cavitation.
Anything with a Yamaha 701 in it is worth 8-1000$. Best ,most reliable 2 stroke motor ever produced! Its also the most desired. Hang onto it dude.
Currently battling the issue of not being able to find OEM impeller or wear ring for it. Checked partzilla etc. Little frustrating.
