Great choice on the Massey 35. Love that tractor!
@@That_Guy_Grizz oh yeah for sure. I’d almost start every map with this tractor. I love that first person view.
Love that little Massey.
Agreed, me too. It's a great little workhorse to have around an early farm, especially when you need to lift things.
Great job 👏 on the first video
Thanks!
interesting challenge 👍
See you in Poland 😀😀
Nice! Glad to see you and Krustoo playing this new challenge! Really liked the 200 HP one. Logging is really good for starting this map if you are into that anyway.
Good times ahead….I hope 😀😀
Nice first episode buddy, my first harvest on that field was potatos 😱
I have used that harvester one time, NEVER again 😂😂
Looking forward to the next.
I saw that you had potatoes in that field...@Krustoo had canola I think...it's funny how we all had different starting crops.
@@northernfarmsim yes Im watching Krustoo right now actully it is Canola.
I misunderstood some things about the Gator and that I had to reset my money, so I remove all accessories near the 3 point bed, and then I remove the money I had in excess.
@@Farmer-Mike I don’t think you should worry too much… The initial framework is more of a guide to get you started and then you can pretty much do what you want from there. I’m using the lumberjack mod and will also be utilizing workers pretty early on which I think is different also from what Krustoo is doing so I think that’s just the way it goes… play the way it makes you happy I guess, lol
@@northernfarmsim yes but then I dont have to see on all that Gator equipment LOL so I will “delete” that for sure.
I do also play with Lumberjack and I also use CP and AD already in episode 2 😊
This map looks amazing, can’t wait to see how you go on this challenge
Thanks! I agree. There are so many cool little “pockets” on the map that it will be difficult to choose where I’ll build a farm…I guess we’ll see how it goes 😀😀
great video once again 😁. To answer your Question about Silos, there are Silos with multiple chambers which can hold different types of materials, the layout most commonly used in such situations is one "silo core" and extensions built around. they typically have 5-10 meters of room underneath to fit a conveyor or auger system that can unload the different chambers which are selected on a computerterminal. The company i work for just built such a Silo to distribute different types of concrete to silotrucks for further transportation. if interests you i can shoot a couple of photos and send them via email or socialmedia
Hey no way, that’s pretty cool. It makes sense that there would be something similar out there…not as simple as the FS version of “multi fruit” but sounds like functionality is the same. That’s pretty cool.
And I’m glad you liked the video. I’m pretty excited about this one and have some plans that I hope I can make work 😀😀
@@northernfarmsim cant wait with what you come up with, at this point i enjoy yours and @krustoo 's videos more than daggerwin while i play my own challenge on Ohio Richlands
@@Lexith2k12 wow, that’s awesome thanks.
And that's why I turn traffic off 😂 Look at you going all aerodynamic with your pallet forks 😁. Great start buddy!
Ha ha. I had to drop that drag coefficient as low as I could to get up that hill 😀 Traffics been entertaining so far…the cars are pretty aggressive though. If they’re given an inch they go for the gap every time.
@@northernfarmsim I turned off traffic on mine because eventually I'll be getting workers to do the long drives. And I know for a fact that traffic does not agree on this map!
@@krustoo I figure that’ll be when I turn it off too….there’s no way a worker would survive on the wild streets of Maz 😎😎
Mate you are off to a flyer on this challenge. For some reason this one didn't show up in my subscriptions, had to go to your channel to find it. Really like the look of the map, I watched a series on a smaller version called Mazovia by Sim Farmer.
I wonder if it didn’t show up because I did something wrong? I’ll have to check it out.
I’m looking forward to what the future holds on the map….actually I’ve already recorded 5 episodes and things will get messy before the get good 😀😀😀
Great start. Small things... You're using Lumberjack and you should not according the rules. Only with Lumberjack you can remove stumps with a chainsaw. You can only pick up straw from contracts when you have the mod 'collect straw at missions' otherwise it says, you don't have access to this land. And I was pointing to the option to go from 10m2 to 13m2 for a couple of bucks... In the end, you changed the forage wagon... 🤣🤣🤣 Keep it up. Enjoying your content!
Glad you like it man, this should be a fun one...hopefully not too much pain!
Lumberjack wasn't actually mentioned anywhere in the rules...other then a few guidelines, pretty much everything is left up to the channel to choose from. There are a few things I have a hard time giving up and LJ is one of them for sure.
Is there actually a mod called "collect straw at missions"? Lol...I had no idea. I have almost 100GB of mods and honestly have no idea what's in there. I'll keep it active regardless, need that straw to feed the beast! (I mean feed the BGA, lol)
Good morning and happy Friday! Just finished Krustoo’s episode.
Me too. He didn’t have as many classic Krustoo “oh-no moments” 😀😀
You can usually remove the shrubbery-ivy thing having grass selected in the Shift-P menu, but right clicking instead :)
That’s interesting…I’ll have to try that out. Thanks!
There is a newer small wood trailer that they came out with as well. Definitely smaller but great for the Start from scratch style game play.
@@That_Guy_Grizz i’ve been craving a new start from scratch play through… Once I start getting the chance to play and finish off some of what’s going on already then I’ll definitely be looking for one and then maybe this trailer would work
Krustoo has traffic off he said there was a reason. The roads are pretty tight.
Yeah, that traffic is hyper-aggressive. Gotta stay alert! 😀
Not sure I'm a fan of this map, or the way the forest was made to never be farmed. I did what I hate doing, removed the forest, painted the ground to remove all the sticks and weeds, painted again, then plowed, many of the weeds popped back up! + many small bushes can't be cut out and the landscaping did not fix them either. Just looks like heck and my mind does not like it a bit. Oh well, guess I will watch this one.
Ha ha. I’m with you, I hate the ground cover, especially if it comes back! I didn’t know that…I have no plans to turn this forest into a field so I should be ok. I’ll be building a farm on one of the many empty plots around the map so all good. My favourite part of your comment was the last line…”oh well, guess I will watch this one”….I think that would be funny if it was a movie reviewer quote shown over a movie trailer….. “epic effects, great job”, “that movie star is my favourite, Oscar winning performance coming up”, “oh well, guess I will watch this one” ha ha ha. 😂
U can cut pieces up to 200kg and pick them up....soon as you go over its too heavy
There’s actually an option in the menu to reduce that to 100 kg which is what I usually run with. Seems a little more realistic… I usually regret it pretty quickly. Lol.
how do you actually do a custom start like this I'm new to the game and have no clue?
Are you on PC or on console? They have pretty different tools available from what I understand regarding setting start money, starting month, etc... You could probably find a number of "how to start..." tutorials on TH-cam....?
@@northernfarmsim I'm on pc but stuck on how to change starting money
@@northernfarmsim Omg I feel so dumb Got it now thanks for the help and the great videos you make that inspired me to finally pull the trigger on getting the game
@@General-qp5wv hey sweet, it’s an awesome game. There’s a great PC mod “Easy Development Tools” that lets you do a ton of customization 👍👍
map creator: spends hours placing sticks and bushes on the forest floor for a more natural look
player: I hate those sticks and bushes you can not paint over those :)
I like this setup, should be an interesting playthrough! kudos @krustoo for the idea
Ha ha...I know, my bad. I can't hide it though...It would be nice if ground cover could be standardized so we can either paint out or leave...apparently if we plough a field on the map, the sticks and those specific weeds come back, not so great. I have yet to test it myself but it comes from a reliable source.
yeah, the map editing is tricky that way...
ground texture (including field state) is applied on one layer. decorations such as sticks, stones, and those weed-looking bushes, are on a different layer (hence why plowing won't remove them). and also those sharing layer with grass, meadow and crops. that's why when you cover those with grass or bushes, you can remove them
@@s1vtre I wish I had the time to learn and then make a map. It would be cool to see something come to life. Maybe when I retire….at this rate it won’t be ‘till I’m in my 90s but at least I can dream, lol.
@@northernfarmsim looking forward to playing on your map in FS 65. who knows, maybe by that time we all will be trapped in VR, farming for our AI masters
@@s1vtre ha ha, that’s funny. But you’re probably right…😵
