Beauty from great times 👍👍👍👍back in 80s this legendary show was played every Thursday in Pakistan and I remember we used to wait eagerly for whole week for it..

@@JessiOz2k07 How the fuck would you know that? This was broadcast in the 90s in India and again more recently. In fact some of the copies on TH-cam are from the Indian broadcast, they even start with the CBFC certificate.

One can see far worse jibes and death threats between them in real life. The Only one who is truly offensively written is Sui Li in my opinion although in the comments in one of the episodes a Chinese person commented stating they remember people used to be like Sue Li back in the day. Everything else is a setup for puns and cartoonish banter. Anyone who says otherwise hasnt seen the show through a season. The episode with the inspector pretending to be a foreigner and getting patronized and with the racist substitute teacher are clear examples of how subversive the humour is intended to be by contrasting the racist attitudes with decent behaviour.
@@luckyeddy350 it isnt. Thats the view of mediocre minds who see things in black and white. It's actually cleverly used the character of Miss Courtney to represent hidden racist attitudes but generally those characters get their due but in a funny roundabout way not in a moralistic way which would take away from the comedy.
