As one of the few people who played gta definitive edition I can confirm this is true Ps I have the short playing in the background while typing this and just hear no no no yay then slam over 20 times as of writing this.
Its sad how people only remembered these games after the definitive edition was a bust Nobody appreciates these games in they're original state All they do is shit on the mechanics If you want realistic mechanics go play GTA 5 instead of a game from the 2000s The negativity associated with these games now is low-key just killing me right now like these games were amazing because if you look at what they were working with (ps2 which was my first console) these were incredible. Rockstar just tries milking these , first with the android and Xbox 360 versions which removed good shit like certain cheats and now with this shit like I'd play it but it looks like a shitty kids animation retextured and with the models slightly changed or completely changed in some cases
