Lemon Jelly & The Scars - "79 AKA THE SHOUTY TRACK" - Live @ The Forum, London 2005

"OK DROOGS, ... LET'S GO!" Lemon Jelly used samples of "Horrorshow" at the urging of band member Fred Deakin, a Scars fan from the beginning. The samples were used in their song "'79 aka The Shouty Track", for inclusion in the album '64 - '95. The song was also the second single released from that album. When it came time for Lemon Jelly to tour in support of '64 - '95, they invited a partially reformed version of Scars - John Mackie, Paul Research and original drummer Calumn Mackay - along to play the track live on selected dates: The Usher Hall - in Edinburgh, Brixton Academy in London & The Forum in London. This recording was made at the Forum - on the last night of the 2005 UK tour. It was recorded for a BBC Radio1 broadcast by Steve Lamacq.

Was this the same gig I remember being at where we all got a small carrier bag of goodies including a “Lemon Jelly Scribbling Machine” (aka pencil) and a bingo card? We all played bingo for a pair of tickets to see The Chippendales :-).
