You do understand California is financially speaking the biggest giver in the whole of the USA. When any Red State needs help, Californian money is directed to help them (that is also what Democracy, Democratic Party represents, equal rights, equal freedoms, equal responsibilities). But right now, the "red administration" is deciding on whether it will only help the red states or should it help all the states of the USA.
And it is just ridiculous and shameful what Trump did to help California in order to let the water flow in the state, to help with the fires. I was watching a live on that day they protested. One of the protesters had a police scanner. You can clearly hear someone tell the police to stand down, and they left at night. This had to be the mayor doing. They let this insanity take place.
