As a South African i feel like Black Americans understand our pain. Do not condescend or act superior. There is mutual. Respect for one another. Also Black Americans are not vultures with the mentality to want to take over, replace and dominate. They missed that socialisation that is prevalent in West Africa. I can listen to AAs more than any other.

Black Americans deal with the same issues from the notorious west African nation. In addition they deal with Asians, most notably Koreans and Chinese that run shops in their communities but have only contempt for black people, just like our situation here with Somalis, Pakistanis etc.
      Makes you think!!

As someone who was a part of the 2024 Real South Africa tour I was excited to hear views from some of the amazing sisters I met during the trip. I wholeheartedly agree with them. We like African Americans because they don't fight for the same low skilled employment pie with locals. Instead, they bring opportunities.
But the govts of Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Malawi, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Somali, Ethiopia , Mozambique have transfered their poverty & unemployment problems to SA.
Many are here illegally & we want them out
    Bring more Africa Americans please

Lesotho are our first cousins, their country is totally landlocked within SA and they sacrificed a lot for SA during apartheid to assist our freedom fighters (ask Chris Hani's family, the late Tito Mboweni went to university in that country while in exile!). It's a poor country that still needs a lot of support from SA.
On the other hand, the government of countries have much greater opportunities to fix their social issues but are not willing due to corruption. As for Malawi, their government was in bed with apartheid NP regime in the past.

Leabua Jonathan is the one who supported us. Lekganya & his crew overthrew him because they wanted close ties with Apartheid govt.

This is still their country. And it has to be destroyed. Are you forgetting that it is our country that legalized same sex marriage way before the USA even did. This country serves wickedness throughout and God will cleanse this land. And we all know that the next cleansing is not by water but by fire. So we have to brace ourselves.

I really loved the fact that I "blended in" and South Africans are friendly. I went to the Apartheid museum and also visited the Mandela home in Soweto. I understand the struggle that South Africans have faced. It's familiar and parallels what happened in the states in many ways. I also remember when we joined divestment movements when we were in college to support South Africans and their struggle, so to come now and see the beautiful people was truly wonderful. I'm thinking about retirement there. The concern you raised about inflating real estate is something to condsider as well.
