Patty Has been my good friend for well over 40 years. She is an awesome woman. It's so wonderful that she is finally free! God has answered all of our prayers!!!!!
@janeagleson7822 Yes, God bless her and God with with her is takes a strong woman to sit and do 40 years. I'm with the President. I don't care who you are that to me. It's a viter and it p***** me off of these people. Are right comments? Or I wish she had to be guilty because she took a deal. No a lot of times people take a deal because of not the jury's gonna find you guilty and put you in there for the ofyourlife. You see her since it was 50 years before you can get Harold, that's b******* It's basically life is so unfair. The Bear broken his sister. The Dick wouldn't investigate that automatically say is the spouse or someone close to you? And that's not the case all the time. Get that out of your head. That society and the police have put That scenario in your head, but it's been a lot of strangers. That's done some s*** Public opinion is ridiculous.I should have had her trials somewhere else Your brain and the beautiful soul and i'm glad she was able to Outside of that disgusting prison I never even read look at her case because the prosecutor Doesn't want to retry the case because he'll lose
@@downtown82God is not in a box. He is not controlled by space and time. In addition, His ways are higher than our ways. I can’t tell you all the things I could explain in this short text. Maybe a good way to put it is like this: most born again Christians apply the verse Romans 8:28 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose. It is applicable esp when we have seen how “unanswered prayer” has turned out to be a blessing. Actually God does answer prayer always. But it’s not always what we want to hear. He says yes, no and not right now. There are generally good blessings we see that come out of every situation in hindsight. Quick story from my own life. At the time of my divorce with 3 small kids it was the worst thing I could even fathom. It hurt so bad. Custody issues and separation from my kids at times. It was horrible. But at 66 now I can honestly look back and know that I became a better mom and a better person as a result of that issue 30 years ago. I got sober, went to nursing school and raised my girls in church. Gave my life to the Lord, first in desperation, then gladly as I began to see my sins and ways I had contributed to the divorce. I realized what a selfish person I had been at 25-30. So the worst thing I had ever gone through turned out for ALL of our good. This is just one example of why I trust Him through all of my trials. I’m sure Patty would say the same. She is now educated and will have a tremendous impact on the prisoners, and I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have had that on her mind had she not gone thru this. She will have an amazing impact on her grands and on her kids. We just have to turn to God in a trial rather than away from Him and we will find our peace, purpose and much love and compassion…rather than being a victim, whining and crying about the unfairness of life.
That's quite a story of empowerment. Patty's ability to survive all those years by giving and assisting the other prisoners is remarkable. God bless her.
It seems like instead of being home raising her children and grandchildren, she became a mother, grandmother, and sister to a whole prison instead. Wow she sounds like such a wonderful woman.
This was so devastating. Missouri prison’s and the entire court system is so jacked up here in this state. It’s crooked and it’ll always be run by “the good old boys”. It’s sickening. My sister was in prison with her. She did amazing things while she was in there. She helped so many women. She never gave up hope. God bless you, what an inspiration!!
My mother almost went to jail for a robbery she did not commit and a good friend of hers spent 10 years for a murder she did not commit. It's easier than you think.
Happens all the time normal people just don't want to believe how BAD our "justice system" is and has been! They lose paperwork and evidence constantly lies and corruption abound !!
I am so happy she is free😊Watching the ladies talking about the impact she made on there lives, makes me a little teary eyed😥Even after what she has been thru, she is so upbeat and I think she is an awesome lady❤❤
It's absolutely amazing that she doesn't seem at all angry or bitter. I'll be angry FOR her! This is so disgusting. Not only did this innocent woman spend more than half of her life behind bars. Her children & grandchildren lost out on so much. Beyond that, there has been a rapist & murderer out there walking free for all of those years. 🤬
@sharonvasser3882 and just where did you read that? Because that couldn't be less true. It's so strange that people think or dream that they read or saw something one time somewhere. They can't identify and take it as fact. 🙄
Is Patty going to sue the court(judge) and prosecutor's office for wrongful prosecution and discrimination? Absolutely a disgrace . Unfortunately 40 years have passed but if these MEN are still alive their names should be published and the Missouri court system held accountable. Go for the highest dollar amount possible!!! Break the bank.
I was in my mid-twenties when this happened. We knew she was innocent and railroaded. I’m so glad Patty is free! The system is broken. She has clearly maintained her positivity and shunned the negative effects of prison. I hope that she gets compensated although compensation will never equal all she lost and missed. The prosecutor was vile.
I am listening from Australia and am horrified by this whole story. Patty you are an amazing lady.So glad you are now out and with family. God bless you and your family for the future
Scary and very sad indeed but elated that she is out!❤ Thank you Dr. Phil, as always for the uploads. Lots of hugs 🤗 from South Africa. God bless you and your family ❤
I read about her case 6 years ago. So happy for her, she is finally free! What a travesty! Amazing she's reminded positive, a testament to her innocence! God Bless and best wishes for the future!
I think God used Patty to help so many people. She raised other young people in prison but sadly her own children missed out 😭😭😭😭 I hope her children are loving all over her
Seat belts, taps, hand dryers, play grounds, cars... thank God you get to experience freedom and all the new fangled stuff we gave come up with in the last four decades.
No money in the universe can buy back a life. Every single person who stole her life that was part of the investigation, the trial, etc, should all be behind bars, but some of them must be deceased by now. I can not comprehend how this nightmare is even possible. I understand that her life path is/ was such that her role here on earth is to help many women, but this whole thing is so, so messed up.
Our system is WAY more screwed up than any normal people understand just a fact !! If you haven't had someone close inside you would NEVER believe it ..money money money
What reparations do people get for being falsely imprisoned and proven to have been denied their right to a fair trial. That's something our government can fix.
I still dont understand how things like this are happening! It's like all they really care about is looking for somebody to place the blame on and not the actual truth! It's such a shame! I'm glad she is finally free!
This breaks my heart. I hope this story gets to President Trump. Such a biased jury and judge. How can this wrong be made right? What was wrong with her own lawyer?? I think as someone who has no legal experience the person who did that was a local man who hated women especially if she was one to be someone who strayed away from her marriage. The men in her community knew she did not kill her husband.
I sincerely think in light of the type of harm the perpetrator levied against patty that being in the presence of another man legally responsible for doing the same type of violance to another woman/women, wouldn't be perhaps the most kosher or condusive in helping her begin her new life.
Such a huge miscarriage of justice, just because awful and corrupt evil prosecutors want that prosecution, they want those points and money. Our justice system has turned corrupt and inhumane. There is zero humanity anymore. 3:02 So happy she is free. I hope she sues the prosecutors. 3:31
This is a serious problem in the world. If they can pin a crime on you they then will build a case to make you appear guilty and take your whole life away from you. This to me is like manslaughter. People need to start being held accountable.
That was my first thought too. Also like to hear her justifications for cheating just out of curiosity. Maybe her husband was abusive asshole and the kids were not aware and she doesn’t want to share that for the world to ever know. She seems like that kind of strong woman.
Wow four days before Christmas ain't that a blessing Christmas miracle a true Christmas miracle I'm sorry Patty that she was wrong fully charged and spend almost 40 years in prison but don't feel too bad because the law enforcement in the world is it no better than what they used to be they're still taking people to jail every day for no reason well there's reasons the way they dress if they've ever been arrested for drugs whether or not they like you or not or if you snitch for them or not law enforcement is the same
I think Patty is innocent. I also think God used her to help all the other women she met in prison. She even showed her kids and grandkids how to stay positive.
Can we talk about the similarities, at more of a quick glance or the zoomed in pic, of Mr. Prewitt and Ted Bundy's younger years (and without Bundy's evil eyes)?

Under those circumstances, I can understand how this could happen. It's more than ninety percent of the time, a family member in the home. Who breaks into a home to kill the man, leave the woman alive or vice versa. And then find out that the woman's had a lot of affairs. Two and two usually equal four. They can usually dig deep enough if there's any evidence pointing to the fact that she didn't do it.

God bless this woman for staying positive throughout the time she was imprisoned. What a great story!❤
