I was singing the theme for hours trying to find where it came from. I haven't watched this show since I was 4 yet I still remembered the theme song, I had forgotten it even existed. Very baffling
I loved this show as a kid. I still have the toys of each of the four original Dino's and Haxx along with the Dino's ship lying around somewhere. God the nostalgia.
I liked both shows but I agree. It felt like they just didn't quite know what direction they wanted to take street sharks. I don't just mean like story but some episodes they started putting the annoying mid episode song fill time and early on they would do this loud echo when doing a special attack that they later on stopped doing. I still like street sharks but extrme dinosaurs seemed more consistent in vision of what they wanted.
I loved this so much as a kid! Mostly because it was a mutant dinosaur show and I filled in for the … questionable writing in my head. I still never understood how a game created to sell toys didn’t sell spitter toys when he was a main villain
Of all the TMNT knock offs, I feel as though the Extreme Dinosaurs is different enough to stand on its own. Also, I feel like you forgot an important part of WHY the raptors are tying to heat the planet. In episode 2 it's made clear that they refuse to believe that all the dinosaurs (particularly their kind) are gone, and want to heat up the planet so that if any raptors are left they can come out of hiding. In a way, Bad Rap and friends are actually kind of tragic.
This is not a TMNT knockoff not everything knocks off another show Don't know why people like you believe that every show is knocking off another show this show literally is its own thing that only took inspiration from teenage mutant Ninja turtles it didn't blatantly copy it people can take inspiration from other show and create something new That's not called copying
@@OfficialDJTasawennateken Well, that's because it was a show about a group of animals genetically enhanced by some extraterrestrial means who loves some kind of junk/snack food that fight to protect people by fighting various monsters and machines while hiding in the shadows; with a stoic level headed leader, hot headed strong man, brilliant scientist and goofball wildcard, that was released around the same time TMNT was in the height of its golden age.
I never even heard of this show as a kid, but was introduced to it because my husband actually liked Street Sharks so much. So I start watching it and start wondering why I'm liking this ridiculous kid's show so much, until I realize who the voice actors are! Any other Beast Wars fans out there? 😋
Apparently there is an extreme dinosaurs fan film out there not sure if it is done but there is a trailer on TH-cam from just 1 year ago. Called "Bad Rap Rising" Actually looks pretty good. It's also live action.
I remember the Extreme Dinosaurs the Spin off of Street Sharks back in the 90s, I enjoyed wayching the Series back then and still be able to watched the episodes on TH-cam. But I am very happy to get the whole Series on DVD by Pidax Animation from Germany as they have released the DVD with both English and German Languages so I can still enjoy watching the whole Extreme Dinosaurs episodes .
When I explain this show and Mummies Alive! as some of my favorite shows when I was a kid, people look at me like I'm actually brain damaged. Yes, the spin-off show of Street Sharks, a rip-off of the TMNT hype, is my most memorable show from childhood.
I remember the Extreme Dinosaurs the Spin off of Street Sharks back in the 90s, I enjoyed watching the Series back then and still be able to watched the episodes on TH-cam. But I am very happy to get the whole Series at last on SDBD Blu-ray thanks to Discotek Media and I do hope they'll released my favourite past cartoon/anime series like Biker Mice From Mars, Blazing Dragons, Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa, Creepy Crawlers, Mucha Lucha, Mary Kate and Ashley in Action, Spider Riders, Yo Kai Watch and Cardcaptors (Nelvana) because they deserved to be released at last.
I think the ending was due to this being an episodic show with now real set plot just mainly one random thing after another with only a few important eps like ones that brought in new characters for later or that one where they went to space
On Rewatch Extreme Dinosaurs is a fun show that knows exactly what it is. A Silly show to sell toys...but damn does it do a good job to be a fun show to rewatch. Yes its dumb, yes it was meant to sell toys...but honestly like Transformers there is fun to be had and that opening is easily a top 10 80's best opening
I was never going to but maybe I'll watch Extreme Dinosaurs after watching your review. Also you should review The Ghost Busters (1975), Ghostbusters (1986) sequel, The Real Ghostbusters cartoon and Extreme Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters has a lot of forgotten material
I've been watching this show on Freevee and it's definitely a great 90's cartoon. I think if you're looking for a hand drawn 90s animation fix Extreme Dinosaurs will be good but it's basically a show that wasn't as good as some like the Sonic shows or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I's tough to find those old school hand drawn 90s cartoons on streaming though and the DVD releases are rare and expensive so if you like that style of cartoon then definitely give this a watch.
I love the extreme dinosaur s as a kid, I wish that they could bring it back like maybe making it as a re-created like what they did with he-man and shera.😖
Now THIS is what the "Dino Vengers" should've been when they were first introduced near the end of Street Sharks's finale. The animators did a much better job with giving each ally, Chedra, and Porcupine completely different hobbies, and interests compared to Bends, and Lena that were both scientists, as well as giving each Dinosaur a different personality so they could each have an individual focus episode compared to the Sharks where they all had similar personalities, thus having no need to give each of them an individual focus episode. They also did great at balancing the comedy, and drama, which is exactly the way you want it. The Raptors are hilarious while still being threatening, and have unique personalities, whereas Paradigm's monster minions didn't get to do much. It does still have flaws such as Bad Rap reusing the exact same weapon thus missing the opportunity to sell more toys, Cedra, and the rest of her Quadrainian people don't get much development, and the show not getting a real ending. I think maybe another 15, or so episodes might would've been enough to give Chedra, and the Quadrainians more backstory, as well as allowing Chedra to return to her home planet, and giving the series a proper finale. It's also annoying that the completed series of Extreme Dinosaurs was released here in America for whatever dumb reason so we had to buy the sets from either Germany, or Australia. Regardless, Extreme Dinosaurs is a bigger improvement over its predecessor, and one I'll be sure to check out either through the German DVD sets, or downloading it somewhere!
Is the Extreme Dinosaurs forgotten or was under used? What if the show continued on for three more years despite on the toys success? The show was dependent on the toy line. Sadly before netflix toys lines was probably the main source of income for more episodes.
Don't you mean a scaly? "Furry" is being intrigued/attracted to antros with fur. A "scaly" is being intrigued/attracted to antros with scales and or reptiles (turtles, alligators, crocodiles, snakes, lizards, dragons, and dinosaurs).
I remember Extreme Dinosaurs. This was a pretty good show. I agree: it needs either another season or a movie to give it a satisfying conclusion.
I watched this show every day before school in the 90s.

I like that the Dinosaurs are so much more likable than in Street Sharks.

There could be a whole avengers style team up with the dinos, street sharks, cowboys of moo mesa, and tmnt

I'd like to see a live action movie of extreme dinosaurs being a life-long dinosaur fan.
That would be insane and VERY COOL! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS!
You know that there is? It is called Bad Rap Rising. Yes it is different, but inspired by extreme dinosaurs :)

wishthey could have done a street sharks crossover of some kind.
there are some crossover episodes on the street sharks complete series dvd set
Do you remember the Viper tv show. That seems up your wheel house. Also Project Knight Rider also really really bad.
He already did Viper

the personalities felt diffeent the the street sharks
That's mummy super hero show was cool
I forget the real name
i think it was Mummies Alive
it's a Mummy super hero show
Mummy alive
felt more like spinoff or something as no characters from street sharks sjowed up and the characters origins diferent
This show made me gay and a furry!! XD
