This was actually a thing the producers of Dominion wanted to put into the movie. Though I don't think they wanted the spinosaurus to fight the giga directly, they were planning on bringing back the spino in the movie. But as we all know, that never happened

Yes, saying that, Steve Brusatte's research paper, in which he proved that Spinosaurus is the largest carnivorous dinosaur ever existed, and all scientists agreed on it in one of the African conferences, where a paper looked at all aspects of size, length, height, weight, density of muscles and bones, and others, so they accepted the fact A paper appeared in October 2021 and was revised in October 2022 and is still agreed upon

I grew up with JP3 so i hold a soft spot for the spino.. I know most dislike it. I do still cringe over the Trex fight but I am glad to see Spino still crushin it. Hands down my favorite creation in terms of what the scientist's be pumping out now adays in the movies. Also, after reading comments I do agree, the Spino roar does seem very off from what it once was.

This is basically what i wanted to see in JW:Dominion. It seems The Spinosaurus is slightly smaller than its current size in JW and the roar is off.

@@rossjeffrey9281 it probably cuz spino back in jp3 was actually meant to bigger along with with the trex but since of back lash of the fight they nerf and recon the size with the DVD release size chart, in behind scene footage there unreleased size chart in the background showing at very least dino like the Bull Rex was much bigger, i know the Stan Winston website the company behind the the animatronic for the films said said that the spino 44ft long but thing to note this is animatronic that was just head to body with no tail so yea I’m guessing the reason it looks bigger cause originally intended to be bigger

Besides not having Spino I heard several other complaints like the prologue being missing. Also the movie felt rushed or had been cut too much to fit their time length. Should have just made it a 2 part movie. Also not enough dinosaur screen time. And the battle between rexy, giga, and the Thezer. Sorry got that guys name wrong.

I personally think they would have been neck to neck with similar masses, though Spino is lengthier. Giga is more agile on land with a heavier bite force while Spino is more aquatic with more powerful claws.
Spino might have battled Giga's African relative, _Carcharodontosaurus_ . Some scientists suggest Spino with higher chance of getting through a match of Titans against a Carcharo.
I personally think it depends on luck. Both are great rivals to the other.
You maybe right in the real world.. however this particular Spinosaurus is genetically modified with unknown species. We See in JP3 it’s strength. As well as it’s ability to actively hunt/torment like Indo-Raptor. I’d give it a definite win 8/11 times.

I agree on the ridiculously strengthened Spino which not only goes against biology, but physics! There's no a single scratch after its sail being hit by the plane in _JP3_ .
That Giga does show aggression in _Dominion_ , but there are just not many scenes featuring it because the entire movie includes quite a variety of new dinosaurs, but in _JP3_ Spino is the only star. The Giga might be tougher than we expected.
To me (based merely on the franchise's depiction):
_Indominus Rex_ is the toughest, followed by _Rexy the T-rex_ and then the Spino & Giga.
I know Colin, the director, takes the T-rex as a hero instead of an antagonist in the _JW_ trilogy. Rexy, however, did show aggression in the original _JP_ movie.

Its Hard to say who the strongest from both of them is, we See In Jurassic Park 3 that the Spinosaurus can handle easily a Joung T-Rex and we See in Dominion that Rexy does have a Hard time fighting the Giga But i would say that they are both on the Same Level, the Spinosaurus is a little faster than the Giga But the Giga can Tank much more damage than the Spinosaurus But if i have to choice then i would say the Spinosaurus is stronger, Not because of better fighting skills But more about the fact that the Spino Was the one who almost destoyed the complete echo System on Isla Sorna and did become King on the Food Chain also the Spinosaurus does have much more battle experiences than the Giga since the Giga Was cloned by Biosyn and lived almost his complete life in his area and the Spinosaurus was on Isla sorna for Many years and did then continue living on Manticore Island and was there too a big threat so in my Option the Spinosaurus is stronger But only because age and much more experince in fighting and survival But thats just my thinking and good Video 😊👍🦖🦕
In real life spino is the biggest land predator which would most likely be also the heaviest Giganotosaurus would have killed rexy but he got distracted the spino also could kill rexy but chances are the spino would be the most dominant predator on land it is the biggest.
@@adrianquinonez6667 Although the spinosaurus was the largest predator it would not have been the most ferocious if we're talking about our prehistory. Spinosaurus was a piscavour and as such did not develop to hunt prey of a similar size. In its time period Carcharodontosaurus ruled the terrestrial hunting grounds, no 2 predators can inhabit the same habitat in the same niche for long which is why spinosaurus and its ancestors were piscavours.
Tyrannosaurus on the other hand did evolve to hunt prey of similar size, let's be honest a Tricerotops would be a tricky kill for any large predator but the bone crushing bite of the trex did make this easier. There is also fossil evidence that Tyrannosaurus would fight its own kind, now this most likely could be attributed to most if not all giant theropods but as there is no evidence to support this for all of them I won't be taking that into consideration. Giganotosaurus and it's kin are all adept at hunting larger prey for a larger bounty. And as I mentioned before with carcharodontosaurus of which is related to the Giga these predators could not cohabitate in the same niche.
Now if we talk about JP as a series the spino is obviously going to win, it's an abomination and quite possibly a hybrid of sorts. That would explain the hyper aggression that was also shown by the indominous, Rexy is 30 to 35 years old she is in no condition to fight anymore expecially against younger dinosaurs like the Giganotosaurus.

I think it's jwe and jwe2 don't give the real size of dino in movies, if i'm remember, in jwe the t-rex and spino are 4m tall, but in jp3 the spino is 6m tall, the is the buggest carnivore in the franchise, after the indominus

@@brandonwilson7075 The rex wasn't a Juvie. It was 37ft long. Buck, Doe, and Rexy are all 40ft to 44ft and are much older. So it was a full grown rex, if not one of the younger adults out of the 7 original rexes cloned by Ingen. The Spino was at 43ft then, On par with Rexy in length and slightly taller overall. And by Camp Cretaceous it was a full 50ft. Which puts it on equal footing length wise with an Adult Indominus and distinctly longer than Rexy. Spino is just a big boi. And with Giga being claimed as Largest by Alan in the new movie, Im curious as to where its canon height and length is gonna be since it has to beat both Spino and Indom who are tied at 50ft.

There where actual dinosaur analyst who said if the sail of the Spinosaurus was damaged enough it would paralyze and it wasn't that strong so a T-Rex snd Giga easily would just bite it and its over. The Spino is a fish eater and its mouth isn't strong enough to crush a T-Rex or Gigas neck let alone use its hands like here but good animation still. (Edit) im talking about real life but even so when the T-Rex chomped the Spinosaurus neck, that should have been game over. Bite force alone crushes a car yet the thin neck was perfectly fine.

In the movie the spinosaurus is a hybrid I think. It's not an actual representation of the real thing.
First and foremost the Spinosaurous in JP is the most powerful hybrid currently in the franchise.
Secondly the other information you gave is outdated. The new reconstruction and analysis say otherwise. For starters Spinosaurous was not a swimmer it was a diving ambush predator and hunted both on land and like a Nile crocodile underwater. It hunted terrestrial and aquatic and even flying species alike. The short legs and quadruple stance were also debunked in 2016 but some idiots keep spamming that miss information for some reason.
The only new features are the tail and the sail and the small knob on the nose. If you really want to learn facts press the news option when you do a google search.

However, this is a Hollywood movie series. The Jurassic franchise Spinosaurus is unrealistic in terms of power and durability to the point it can snap the neck of a Trex and shake off full force blow by a 30ft or so plane to its “fragile” sail.

INGEN's bipedal abomination was a starving lightweight and one of the most spectacular cinema hiccups since turning a turkey-sized velociraptor into a bigger cousin of itself.
A proper quadrupedal Spinosaurus was the heaviest terrestrial monster that ever lived, and it ate absolutely everything short of an adult Mosasaurus.

Spino as always will use its long arms and claws as an advantage since his/her bite force is not that strong
bro spino still had like a 2 tonne bite force, sure its not the equivalent of rex's but still strong enough to keep a grip on whatever it has in its jaws, and do some artery/bleed damage. Take into account size and mass it has that going for it.

This is what i like to see, i think in every encounter Spino wins, it has such raw power with how it's body are built. And it'll use it's claws effecticly to either go for the eyes or just the face. I don't think that anyone could challenge a Spino. But i don't think it'll win every encounter to some of the herbies because it can't deal with 4 legs dinos with alot of defence. That's why it always were fishing and just think of the mass it could carry with fishes long enough to be a great White shark. Great animations on how every encounter would've looked like!

Just think about Allosaurus, it had the same biteforce as a dog, yet it was so good at killing stuff. Why you might ask. Because it slammed his upper jaw and also clawed and it had much weaker arms.
