The thing people aint deeping is battle rap is more than just bars/flow, its also about performance, stage presence, crowd reaction, cadence, clever angles that will cause a reaction. if you want just bars and flows then listen to a cypher with no crowd, when it comes to live battle rap, the crowd is the 4th judge weather you like it or not. So as a battle rapper if you wanna succeed you have to take that into account. This is how its always been from back in Don't Flop days, KOTD or URL. Everything is needed to be a great battle rapper and Ren knows that.

Im shocked but people genuinely think it was a 3-0 sweep. The Monkweh part was dead imo and this is 80% pre written raps and the way Drizz called his angles and then rebuked how he’d come for his “blackness” was solid. Ren had a strong first round but a lot of it was driven by gimmicks and overall strays away from what battle rap originally is and turns into gossip rap.
If drizz laid into them on the same grounds, they'd cry about it and the judges would hate him for it.

Its not purely just about bars tho, realistically it's about how much a person can win over a crowd, ren just has the references and samples locked down, and its harder to be coming from elsewhere, playing from an away side, if you diss anything about location youre basically dissing at least 70% of the crowd

From round 1, Ren executed him. Round 2, the London Fields-MashTown bar went over everyone's head. Drizz went mad with the fed files though 😅 I can't lie, I wasn't sure Ren was gonna cut through, after that 🤣 felt like the biggest reload of the night the way the building erupted. It should be called entertainment game because that's all i get from it.... I've watched from the beginning so yeah its entertaining but I do wish it was more based on lyrical ability rather than the mum, girl and school type cusses. I like American battle rap but it always felt like something was missing and that's the beat . So when pen game came around i thought yeah this should be perfect ! I was disappointed that it seemed to be drill and grime focused but there was some real good battles and lyrical not like now where its literally who can say the most wildest thing and have a god flow ( well not in Rens case because his flow is no existent ) . But what can I say when people like Wretch 32 , Avelino and Ghetts etc aren't the most popular artists in uk rap on a mainstream level but we have instead Central Cee and Stomzy etc , so I get it this is what people want....Junk food music.

This was the toughest challenge for Ren in the whole tornament. Drizz went in, but still think Ren won. Drizz's first round just didnt hit, he tried to hard to play ren's game.
