Great information. this will help others. Good to know I did a few right. started riding 4 years ago at 60. just this season my wife and I have ridin 22K miles. get off the couch folks. New riders...watch learing videos!! Thanks CUE. I love slow speed classes, I have done 2 Prorider, 1, Be the boss, 2 MSF, and looking for more. I love rididng and practicing!
Great advice!..I grew up riding, dirt bikes, pedal bikes, then a big lull with motorcycles after getting my drivers license..fast forward 30yrs, got the itch to ride again, intimidating for sure, a buddy helped me pick out a bike, a 06' SG, last motorcycle that I owned was a Yamaha 400 twin..currently on a 12' FLTRX and couldn't be happier..
Sir, I love the video, very informative and a bunch of great tips not just for new riders but veteran riders as well. I’m 56 started riding back in 89 first bike was a 450cc Honda Night Hawk I’ve been a fan ever since. The Army offered many different MC Courses from the Basic Level to Intermediate as well as the sport bike course. I loved each one. I’ve gotta make a trip to GA from SC to visit Mr. Simmons and check out a class or two. Stay safe take care and always rubber side down…….
I would love to practice with you anytime. I too have now been riding for two years and wheel placement is what I have been working on a lot lately. Great video and you’re a great rider.
Started riding at age 55 and almost 61 now. Wish I would have seen this video a few years ago but I saw it now and plan to implement a couple ideas (mileage goals, skills goals). My goal is 100 miles per week average (so if on several weeks vacation w/o motorcycle, need to make up the miles on other weeks).
I have a 2022 RGL that try to ride when I’m home being in a cross country truck driver with my amazing wife but I do slow speed practice every time I ride which I find very beneficial to my riding …. Thanks you for doing a awesome TH-cam channel ❤️✊🏽
Aye!!!!!! Ride Every Day and Enjoy It!!!! Cue you have some fantastic videos these are some great tips, and I think I agree and have experienced most of the things you have mentioned. Great job, I know you miss the GT500... I miss seeing it in the background LOL.
10K miles a year is some good riding. That's about how much I average or more. Gotta attend some motorcycle rallies. It was cool meeting you at "TTRTH" this year. I still LLLLOOOVVEEEE my heel-toe sifter😅😅. Good information. Awesome vid CUE!!
Great video. What seat(s) do you have on your bikes? Would you recommend one? One for touring. I’m considering changing mine. This is my second year riding. I’m 58, so I appreciate your story. And … which club are you a member of?
For long distance touring, my favorite seat is the Harley Hammock. It is softer than a Saddleman Seat (which I is too firm for me). My club is Raw Iron Brotherhood
@@richc767 great question. I met one of the guys in my motorcycle club at a bar. We started hanging out together and I eventually started riding. I vowed I would never ride a motorcycle but there I am!
Cue great video. However, I would love a more in-depth video accompaniment. I would love to see a narration of several before and after videos of you riding after taking the course and showing the progress and the journey. Nothing “be the boss” length video but a longer form for newbies like myself and others to see. Just an idea. Keep up the great work!!
Michael how you doing I follow this guy his name is Cue on riding and wrenching awesome guy awesome content I too started seriously riding at later age 60 to be exact even though I did ride mini bikes and dirt bikes as a kid … love they chsnj tho the biggest part lil TH-cam channel on the entire Inter webs 🤣❤️✊🏽
Cue, love your channel, I’ll try to keep it 12:09 short. 1st ride 1988 Millington(your neck of the woods)85 Honda interceptor 500(yes get a sport bike). Love law abiding biker, you are also are an inspiration. Keep up the great info Cue!
Good stuff Cue, rode many years ago and just started riding again at seventy and loving it everyday. Not looking forward to winter ✌️🇺🇸
Love the "Old Wing" Freudian slips! I started riding at 64 years old, I regret the years I missed.
😂😂I wondered if anyone would pick up on that!
@@RidingandWrenching I'm stealing that term.

That's awesome! I may take a class with Pro Rider next year. I haven't' yet decided which classes I'll take next year
@@RidingandWrenching Big Dif in the Proroder and Rober Simmons. Both are excellent. Prorider will include some avoidance and braking, good stuff.
We are very blessed to have u in our brotherhood. I gained a great new bro, and we are joined by the hip now & forever 😎
@@jessieholt9238 thanks big brother Sasquatch!😂😂
Thanks for this kind of video. They are very helpful for us the beginners. I’m 63 and started riding bikes this last April.
@@carlossantiago7551 awesome! Old beginners make great riders because we are smarter!

Wonderful things to think about riding. You have sure come a long way in a short amount of time. Keep on truck'n!
Love all your subjects and really enjoy all your commentary. Best wishes to you and your channel. Continue the great work.

Heal-Toe shifters is a product of satan!😂 I take the heel shifter off any bike I have.

😂Yes sir!!
Your first mistake - buying a Harley. That's like skipping weed and going straight to heroin; you're automatically an addict from that point on! LOL
You got that right! 5 years of riding and 5 Harley's.....plus a bunch of t shirts!

I'd love to get a sport bike and learn how to ride on a track. The class I took at Champ Riding School gave me the bug!
