I really hope they do a season 5. DanMachi is one of those rare series that just gets better with each new installment. Season 4 was phenomenal, so incredibly good. Thank you for your remarks, so Freya comes clean in this next arc, that should be most amusing. These gods sure do like brainwashing each other. ;) Right now, I really like Freya right now, I'm curious what Ais up to, I hope she has a big role in this next season, and of course how can anyone not love The Lion.

i really loved season 3 most. the reveal that the monster are getting reborn over and over until they gain personality was great. i loved that the minotaur from season 1 came back from death to have a rematch with bell. so good. i've got a few vol of danmachi LN waiting but i want to get through Slime first
Yeah danmachi is definitely one of the most slept on series and I genuinely believe it's because of its title. Each arc does so much in developing the story, world, characters, and lore.
Current developments have put omori in a pickle tbh I’m hyped for season 5 but the amount of popularity that Ryu got through things a bit outta whack for omori After this arc and I the school district either He does really good with the Aiz arc and see shit finally get where we want it or he gets torn to shreds for it I even learned that he almost contradicted volume 7 by nearly making bell and Aiz have their first kiss super early in SO7
Just finished reading Vol 18. Simply amazing. Anime only fans will hate Bell for rejecting her lol. Giving how little screentime Aiz had, Syr will literally shine like a princess that obody has a right to harm. We will all transform into "Hedin" during the date.
I'm actually very suspicious in Syr's character for her lack and mysteries behind her and I initially thought that she's under Freya or subordinate of hers, very interesting that she's just a facade character.
There's one important part of volume 15 that continues into volume 16 though, so maybe they will adapt only the introduction and the last chapter like volume 8
A thing they absolutely shouldn’t downplay in Season 5 is Aiz’s involvement in the story. It’s one of the few times where she directly contributes to the events of the main series outside of training or Bell’s motivation to catch up to her.
The part that excites me about danmachi is that they arent rushing the relationship between Ais and Bell. It makes me excited for every interaction whether it be negative or positive between them. Edit: First of all damn yall respond fast Second when I said interaction its not like I meant a date or anything its the suttle stuff like when bell and ais danced or when they where fighting over wiene. Knowing how they met and every little detail to the story afterwards is a very cool thing to watch. In the hopefully coming seasons we are going to hopefully see their relationship grow in to something more. PS This is from the perspective that Bell and Ais will eventually marry.
What the fuck man they haven't even had one proper interaction. Ais and Bell literally have less chemistry than Bell and ANY of the side chicks. What kind of a person watches season 4 part 2 and then goes "Omg I just LOVE Bell x Aiz"
For Japanese writers, it's normal for several "schoolboys" to endlessly circle each other, blush, and not get the final relationship. Even with Freya / Syr, relations are not completely broken. Cranel tells her in volume 18 that he will always be there to watch over her happiness. Ryu also confessed to Bell. And he also admires Aiz. All the girls will circle around Cranel until the last volume without any progress.
@@andusz5518 Bell and Ais have had proper interactions. Read the LN’s. Especially the first 4. The reason people are “omg I love Bell x Ais” is because that is the woman Bell is in love with. Meaning, their interaction will be truly romantic and hit all the right spots for fans since it will be Bell also contributing to the romance instead of just the girl contributing like in every interaction up until volume 18. Bell has no interest in Ryuu, it’s explicitly stated in the LN, so why get hyped about it once season 4 part 2 is over when we know nothing came from it? It’s the same ole same old, Bell saves said girl, than Bell moves off said girl and goes back to focusing on Ais and how to win her heart over. Ryuu isn’t any different, it literally happens in the very next book (volume 15). We even have bell becoming a bit depressed after the events of volume 14 because he wants to see Ais again (he finally sees her but notices she is crying which stunted him and that’s when it leads to him researching her past and connection to Albert Waldstein).

If the canon is introduced, many will be unhappy. Asia is the main market for danmachi related products and the books themselves. In addition, Ryu is the most developed of all the characters with a very attractive setting. The author, over 18 volumes, elevated Ryu to the same main characters as Aiz. I don't know if FO has an elf fetish (Bell has an elf fetish). The author clearly likes Ryu.

You don’t “feel bad” for Ryuu and a write a “what if” for her and Bell if you thought she was still in it as the author. Bell clearly states to Ryuu that he is in love with someone else in volume 17, stating that’s why he had to reject Syr (and indirectly reject her). Also, the authors waifu is Lefiya, not Ryuu, and his favorite character is Hermes. The author likes Ryuu, but he also literally loves every character he writes about. Bells lack of interest in Ryuu is heavily stated in the LN’s, and the books and merch are still selling very well. Volume 17 is one of Omori’s highest grossing books so far and that book was all about Bell staying true to Ais and than falling in love with Ais all over again. But overall, the author has clearly stated Bell x Ais is the endgame and that he would develop their romance wants Bell is level 6. Bell x Ais will have actual mutual romance in their arc, where as Ryuu x Bell had onesided romance (with Bell not contributing to it AT ALL). He was even dreaming about Ais and wanting to live so he can see her smile again (her smile gave him hope to live), while he was with Ryuu.
I have a feeling that bell and Ryu are going to fall in love and not Bell and Ais cause Ryu did so much for Bell then Ais did and besides it kind of been teased a little bit in the show in season 4 they have flirted a couple times if you were paying attention

As much as I will love season 5….I don’t think people will actually like that season much. It is a reality check season. Meaning, Bell makes some key decisions that majority of the fan base will hate. I know you danced around why Bell rejected Syr because of spoiler reasons but majority of the fan base is going to hate why Bell rejects Syr. He does it for a certain person he wants to be with……and that person is definitely disliked in the fan base. Than to top that off, since JC Staff drop the ball on Ais and never adapted her well, cause fans don’t understand her character really at all, it’s going to piss them off even more when that said girl ends up “abandoning” Bell (they will perceive it that way) and Bell doesn’t care cause he loves her and knows that she has her reasons (which she definitely does because the LN’s told us so). I suspect season 5 will be the last season mainly because of back lash.
imo i dont think season 5 will be the last season because the LNs (especially vol 18 is doing very well in sales in japan) and also the anime (blueray disc season 4 its actually doing good) , i dont think it will be the last season but yeah some people may dislike season 5

Also, Bell tells 80% of the fan bases number 1 girl (Ryuu) that he is in love with someone else already. Than that said girl doesn’t help him during wargame while Ryuu does but Bell doesn’t care cause he loves Ais and understands that she has her reasons (fan base won’t understand that and just be furiously pissed off about it since Jc staff adapted Danmachi horribly).

Freya used this favor in that way because she said that her heart couldn’t take it if she saw Ais and Bell get close together. Other than that, the favor effected Ais mentally (even hurting herself and made herself bleed when watching the wargame) and Bell wasn’t bothered by Ais not being able to help him since he said Ais always has her reasons and said that he understood.

Season 4 not only moved at a glacial pace, they moved so slowly during the season and dwelt so long on parts that weren't really relevant to much of anything that when they finally got to the climactic battle, they ended up rushing the ending and glossing over important parts of the story. The whole thing was really poorly handled.
pretty sure the manga went into hiatus a long time ago, as its stopped at chapter 90 around when bell went and faced the minotaur for the first time. so the main source at this point is reading the light novel as they pull from that material for the anime at this point
