Great insight and earlier prediction of the price increase 😊 In Europe, the PM east-west went up for 100 € which is a lot, it was 2400€ and it is 2500€ now. The PA went up for 40€ to 1340€. I feel like the price increase is higher in Europe this time.
I love the PA. I bought it last month and although I cringed at the price it has quickly and easily become my most used bag. I don’t use the vachetta short strap. Instead I use the damier strap from my older Evie or a mono bandolier. So it’s become my go to crossbody. I’m older and can remember when many bags were actually accessories. This makes the pricing even more astounding. I still can’t buy certain Prada bags because I remember purchasing those with my employee discount in the 90s for so little when they were pouches, not bags nearing 2K. It’s just so crazy.

Notice how the number of canvas bags is only a small percentage of what was offered 10 years ago?. Everyone had them. LV does NOT want that to be the case, so they are creating demand by decreasing how many they offer, and continually raising the cost to the consumer. You'd think we'd be smarter!!

I just bought the Bologne bag not realizing after the fact it had a price increase by over $300 in just the last 2 years 😭🫨 at some point I gotta be done with luxury 😂 (and my first mini pochette ever, the animation one) I can’t believe it’s over $800+ ☹️
While we don’t like price increases I was shocked it was not more substantial. Now don’t get me wrong I think the price increases is definitely unnecessary. I’ve said it before IMO all these high end brands want to price out certain customers! All these brands have a customer in mind and it’s not the regular folks. I’m over the increases. At this point LV can keep their bags. I simply can’t justify that just 5 years ago these bags were hundreds of dollars less.
