my problem is he swam around a bit in the air then some how he is now outside the forcefield area. and im still on the platform. cant kill him cause he is just sitting out side the forcefield waiting and does not see me.EDIT: I had to run around close to the wall where he was and he floated thru the wall and I was able to keep him in the area till i defeated him.
Get yourself a freeze sling (blue or higher tier) and max it out this is the most important weapon to beat a Tideripper. Also get yourself a purple or higher tier sharpshot bow or blast sling. Get to this position and freeze him then shoot him with your sharpshot bow, this makes this boss ez pz even on ultra hard.

I can't beat him on ultra hard, so I give up. There is a big difference between very hard and ultra hard.
I know your pain I'm doing an ultra hard playthrough and I just got past cauldron chi and I'm now moving on to Kappa

Just destroy the purge water cobtainers on his necks.hell just stare at you untill you kill him....i play ultra hard btw
I was way under prepared beat him with the sun whatever it is named blue bow
That was my first tideripper.
