In a significant political development, dismissed minister and Congress MLA Rajendra Gudha, known for his relentless pursuit of justice over the Lal Diary scandal, has officially joined the Shiv Sena. The momentous occasion took place in his native village, Gudha (Neemkathana), where Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde extended a warm welcome to Gudha into the party, adorning him with the distinctive Shiv Sena scarf.
Gudha, who had previously worked with both the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Congress, now assumes the role of coordinator within the Shiv Sena.
During this pivotal event, Chief Minister Shinde took the opportunity to castigate Ashok Gehlot's government, highlighting the incident where Gehlot once credited himself as Chief Minister due to Gudha's support, only to later dismiss him from his position. Coincidentally, the day also marked Gudha's son's birthday, and a celebration was organized to commemorate the dual occasion.
Eknath Shinde expressed his support for Gudha's principled stance on issues like law and order and the safety of women in Rajasthan. He emphasized that Gudha's departure from his ministerial post did not signify a departure from his commitment to the truth and the welfare of the people. Shinde stated, "Rajendra Gudha is welcome in Shiv Sena. The union of the valor of Rajasthan and Maharashtra is a delightful one. We will continue to look out for every Rajasthani residing in Maharashtra."
Highlighting his own similar move in the past, Chief Minister Shinde mentioned, "Like you, I had also left the post of minister. I had left the post of minister for the thoughts and ideals of Bala Saheb. Rajendra Gudha left the post of minister for truth. Law and order should be good in Rajasthan, and the state should develop."
Shinde further criticized the previous government in Maharashtra, stating that their actions had set the state back by a decade. He emphasized that after the NDA's double-engine government came into power, they managed to revitalize Maharashtra, securing substantial investments and reaffirming its position as an industrial powerhouse.
Shinde also turned his attention to Rajasthan's potential for development, urging local leaders to prioritize the state's growth over personal agendas. He underscored the importance of women's empowerment and safety as essential components of progress.
