Kreide (the boss) is someone who is of distant noble blood and has the lingering echoes like Ebenholz. The difference between the voices in his head compared to those contained in Ebenholz is that his [Kreide] lingering echoes leak out of his body, igniting the originium in people and is slowly killing the people of Lethania. In a flashback near the end of the story, it's told that Ebenholz and Kreide met when they were two years old, experimented on by the radical followers of the Witch King, wanting to bring back his power and reincarnation through these two children. Kreide chose to be experimented on before Ebenholz, which is why Ebenholz is closer to a "complete" experiment and Kreide is the "failure".
In a plan to rid of both of their lingering echoes, cznery composed a song from their lingering echoes (ebenholz had one part of the song and kreide had the other). Cznery was ready to risk his life during the performance, but Kreide intentionally made it so that he ended up taking the entirity of the curse, igniting his entire body with originum, and finally turned into the reincarnation of the Witch King. In Kreide's final moments of sanity, he tells Ebenholz, "Listen Ebenholz, these are my final words. You must continue to live and past through this long night [..] Remember, Ebenholz, we once fought against our unfair fates together and we won! [their reunion with each other after childhood] So, when you think of me, you should smile and not cry. And, I'm sorry, Ebenholz."
When Kreide is defeated, Ebenholz picks him up to put him to rest in the concert hall. Ebenholz is pierced by Kreide's originum but he doesn't care about anything anymore at that point. An illusion inside the concert hall using the voice of Kreide tricks Ebenholz into thinking that Kreide is still alive, only to find out that it's the Witch King's voice (still inside his head). Even though Kreide sacrificed himself, Ebenholz must continue to live with the Witch King's voice.
End of summary.
There's a couple of other bits that really flesh out the death of Kreide, but they are more smaller things that make you sad when reading about it... Hope this helps and look forward to the event!!
Something tells me when this event drops in the en servers that my heart will break for the poor guy. Something tragic about a boss helping our operators for a short bit olny to become hostile again.

The boss that we don't wanna kill but game goes

Actually, after everytime the boss uses special skill to attack every op on the field he loses 25% hp. And before he finally reach the blue box he will use the skill more than 8 times, which means if he can he will kill himself. But he can't (skill can't reduce his hp to 0). To beat him, all it takes is one hit.

@@tofuear6773 Im a rather new player, and i dont really like a boss on a farming stage that is too hard.
But what is with that? A boss that is actively trying to kill itself? To help us? Its easier to farm but its too hard to accept, its just, sad.
Here are more of that type of boss Patriot, Frostnova, Faust, Skullshatterer, Mephisto True form.
From the second Skullshatterer, to Frostnova, maybe even Patriot, Arknights knows how to play with our emotions

i was sad when we have to kill FrostNova, but in the end, she died for what she belives...
Patriot never stop... he always push forward, even after all persons he cares are long dead
But this boss...
He do not have choice... and that second phase... is perfect example of it...
Reason why i love Arknight, they do not give us always happy ending. We recive a good ending like "We won... but it was worth it in the end?"

So I finally finished this event story during this rerun and.......... yeah. I can see why this event story left an impression
As a newbie Misha is the first boss in game that is literally and emotionaly hard to kill.

The boss is helping us instead in his second phase? What the hell happened in the story?
SPOILER:
He and Ebenholz are Witch King descendands, witch in leithanien this means they can be coinsidered a Threat by sole existance. Witch King was overthroned by his daughters decades before AK main Storyline. he still have loyalists that plot to his ressurection. They plant in him and Ebenholz " The 'Earthly Melody' is a melody composed by the Witch King and imbued with his Arts. All the subjects of these experiments died, except Kreide and Ebenholz. They forget about eachother and managed to move on, but unfortunately, Kreide's fragment of the 'Earthly Melody' was not properly sealed within his body and constantly leaked out. The power of his 'Earthly Melody' is to accelerate the progress of Oripathy in the Infected around him, a phenomenon which he noticed as time passed by. [5] He felt a deep guilt at the 'curse' that he brought to others around him. [6] Due to being an Infected, he wandered from nomadic city to nomadic city with his grandfather and eked out a living under heavy discrimination.
durning events of Lingering echo, Things did not go as expected, and Kreide was informed of Fraulein Gertrude's plans to use the concert to massacre the district's inhabitants, as well as the 'Earthly Melody' residing in his body. When Gertrude's agents unleashed a swarm of Originium Slugs on the city, he played a duet with Ebenholz in order to invoke a resonance between their 'Earthly Melodies' and drive the slugs away. Czerny composed a new song, 'Light and Shadow', to try and draw out the two youths' 'Earthly Melodies' into himself. Czerny, Kreide and Ebenholz performed this new piece during Czerny's farewell concert. Kreide's worsening health, coupled with his self-sacrifical nature, led him to try taking the two 'Earthly Melodies' into himself in order to spare Ebenholz (who was uninfected) from suffering. He kept his sanity until the concert ended, and became a monstrous Originium construct outside the concert hall.
Ebenholz defeated Kreide's monstrous form, and Kriede died in his arms. The active Originium spikes on Kreide's body pierced Ebenholz's skin and infected him with Oripathy. Before his death, Kriede delivered an encouraging speech to Ebenholz, and would change the other Caprinae youth's outlook on the world forever.
So that Second Phase... is basicly his himself that manage to temporaly fight of force that control hi, to just help to his frend...

@@Exath8630 yes. I think in pursuit of his ultimate arts research he lost his humanity or got heavily corrupted in the process and become tyran that woul put uraus to shame

You probably already knew but you can just clear this stage one time since there is no farmable material in the stage
yeah.. i know it at the first time i see the stage, but i still use my own operator because i found video how to clear that stage with male op only (i have all the bois in that video xD)
