I spent the last Christmas with them and I asked if they are okay with the dishes because me and the dishes are friends, you see but the mom's sister said if you want you can help with the dishes and if not, it's totally okay. Looking at my outfit, I was not in a position to help at all but they were cool about it, no hard feelings. I love both his family (paternal and maternal). I will step up my game next time though. The first time I meant my in-laws was at his graduation. I was having heart palpitations😅 but his parents were so friendly. His mum gave me a hug and that kind of calmed me down. So staying calm is really important, cause it wasn't bad at all! As for Malawi, you do have to give respect to your elders first before they can give you any irregardless of their mood that day. You can help in other ways. The beauty comes from an open heart and willingness to learn. It’s actually a good thing to admit that your not sure and keep guidance from your parents or future in-laws. That humility is nice to see
