Thank you Sir! After watching at least ten vids on the same topic, I was fortunate enough to come across this one. Being a guy who not only wants to learn the how, but also the why, this vid is much appreciated. Perfectly done!
Tip for anyone else who has trouble - A trick to get the cotter pin out is to put a 17mm socket with breaker bar or a wrench on both sides of the wheel and try to line up the holes of the cotter pin perfectly to the bolt, without the holes lined up it is super hard but if they are lined up the pin should pull right out without any force.
Great video again! Question: have a slight whistling noise here and there after the bike has been idling for 15 -20,mins any ideas? Thanks for any feedback
Very good & helpful vid. Question: After you clean the chain, lube and tighten it, does riding the bike now produce a slightly different sound when the chain rolls and engages?
Yes. sometimes when the chain is dirty you hear a sound like snap, crackle, and pop cereal. Also if the chain is loose, then it will hit the swing arm pretty hard and you will hear a clunking noise. Some of these sounds may be reduced after tightening, cleaning, and lubing the chain.
Thanks for the compliment. I do have some video on a coolant change that I did along with a valve adjustment. I will try to extract it and post within the next day or so.
