    I am a fan of Dr Kwon. This lesson shows how much wisdom he has. It is also amazing how Eddie managed to unlearn what he has learned, and just listened and followed the instructions.
    Some of the comments here are very rude. But Dr Kwon answered them humbly. Stay classy people - instead of criticizing; perhaps keep your mind shut and listen. You can learn something for sure…
    I need to find a rope!

    Really interesting. You can see where Eddie wasn't using ground forces before (or as much as he could.) Great session.

    That's the incredible mind who invented the rotex motion equipment. All we need now in this group is Mike and his team from Mach 3 training .

      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it was Dr. Joe LaCaze who was in the video briefly. I initially thought he was Eddie's dad. ^_^

      I don't measure the numbers during a reprogramming session to focus on the movement pattern.

  • @BradMeehan
    @BradMeehan ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Dr. Kwon, when you release the wrists, do you throw the club head towards the ball or down the line towards the target?

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Down the line. The whole purpose of this is to hit the ball using the speed of the clubhead and you need to keep accelerating the clubhead during the entire downswing. The clubhead reaches its peak speed near the impact and then decelerate.

      I was in the slot next to him , the sound it makes as he hits the ball in comparison to mine is 😮😮.

  • @-AthleteInAction-
    @-AthleteInAction- ปีที่แล้ว

    I can imagine long drivers would be able to pick this up faster than others because they have to already have some instinctual understanding of body dynamics to hit the ball that long.

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has changed quite bit lately but I saw many long drivers just relying on their muscles say 5 years ago. Jamie Sadlowski inspired many golfers. ^_^

  • @WeAreRollos

    Great video! Have you tried using a metronome with your clients? Seems like that would help ingrain the rhythm aspect. I haven't tried myself but when I get the motion down I'm going to try timing the hitting of a tee to metronome clicks and see if I can slowly increase the speed without losing accuracy.

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes, I have but stopped using it quickly. It is better to use rhythmic and purposeful grunts such as Woop, Vijay~ Singh!. ^_^

  • @jonnydempsey4380
    @jonnydempsey4380 ปีที่แล้ว

    But does Eddie hit it any further or straighter now? I will check in after 6 months.

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how much he engages his lower body.

  • @davidhallowell9211
    @davidhallowell9211 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did I miss it or does he get faster swing speed at the end

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      In general I don't measure the swing speeds. He got a bit tired at the end. ^_^

  • @rickkrieger4455
    @rickkrieger4455 ปีที่แล้ว

    So is he swinging left arm dominant or right arm dominant? Looking at his swinging, he seems to be more left.

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      He is using his left arm more than what you typically see in these days in many golfers.

    I suppose, but I already suffer from "paralysis by analysis." Far too much info about pressure shift, up and down, connection, etc. for my limited brain capacity.

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suppose players like Eddie deserve more in-depth explanations. In the end, 'rhythm' is the key word!

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There should be a limit but you definitely have a room for improvement. It is a matter of improving the way you move.

      Sorry to hear that! This channel is a place for sharing and I post reprogramming videos in their raw form w/ minimum editing. It is up to the viewer whether one can get anything positive out of this or not.
      Here is my favorite quote: "But blessed are your eyes, for they see (and recognize): and your ears, for they hear (and comprehend)."
      It seems Eddie recovered quickly.

      @stuartstuart321 Since this lesson with Dr.Kwon “Fast” Eddie has won two LD competitions. Your comment is entirely false, disrespectful and lacks any credibility.

  • @bennettpisek5566
    @bennettpisek5566 ปีที่แล้ว

    I understand Eddie, and other athletes' learning process forom Dr. Kwon's lesson swing. When I am used to another learned way of swinging the driver - it takes a bit of physical practice to change that long muscle memory to a different muscle memory. Especially when there is knee problems.

    • @drkwongolf
      @drkwongolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      The key is to have a good cognitive understanding of the target motion. The body quickly adjusts.
