One of the reasons why AOT is a masterpiece is that they were able to insert romance, but clearly described the line “There’s no time for love on the battlefield.” 😭
In other animes, they’d make a whole love interest arc where the arc is about fighting, but 50% of it is romance. I’m convinced that Levi and Hange have mutual feelings for each other with the famous “Shinzo Wo Sasageyo” and “I’d rather the two of us just live here, right Levi?” What a unique confession Isayama meant. LeviHan sailed for 2 mins, but it drowned through heat...

I agree, every love interest can fall under the category of 'what might have been' or 'ended before it even started'. I love how much they kept it to themselves and focus on the priorities they have. I love and respect them wholeheartedly. 🙇✨

Edit: the reason why I said there’ll be more LeviHan shippers is that, technically in the manga, LeviHan did sail but it was only for a short moment because of ykw...So I’m convinced that LeviHan is canon, they don’t necessarily have to get together (or be alive-), they “confessed” and both of them got the idea it was mutual. However, they could never get the chance to be together because of constant war. “There’s no time for love in the battlefield” aot potrayed that very well 😔
