Vijendra the density you mentioned is for petrol. sometimes the automation in the pumps does not update the density automatically . Diesel density normally hovers between 821.0 to 827.0 and higher. You should always confirm the density with the pump office from their sales register or density board.

Also the density at all Bharat Petroleum pumps will almost be the same as the product for all pumps in Pune district comes from their depot at Haveli near Shindavne village

The density I had mentioned was for diesel, it was really low at that pump (it was displayed at the meter along with Diesel prices). Maybe the meter was not calibrated hence it would be showing it low. It's easier to check the density at the meter than ask the manager as it would save time. But next time would definitely ask for it. Thanks 🙏

Yes you're right. The meter was not updated through automation as it is supposed to happen and it is definitely convenient to have the density on the pump itself. That said petrol density is in the 700.00 and diesel density is in 800.00 so the meter was wrongly displaying petrol density. In case of emergency you can always demand to see the actual density in the sales register of the pump
