    Thank you for this! It's exactly what I needed to see at exactly the right time. You made it so easy to understand the concept and gave clear visuals to go along with the instruction. This will open new doors for me!

    Oh my Debbie, I learned so much, especially blotting :) Never had thought of doing that...and when you blot seems like you have a lot of control then. Thank you . Love your owl..by the way :)

      I am so glad that you enjoyed the video. One of the reasons I created it is because all of the videos I have seen never mentioned how much control you get when blotting your brush.

      Thanks Cheryl, I know so many painters cannot find teacher near them so that is why I decided to do this series.

    Wow - this was a tremendous help! I cannot wait to try these techniques. What was your mixture in the tub for the last blue background you created?

    Great video! Do you have any issues from using a high ratio of water in your glazes? Peeling? Rubbing off?

    • @DebbieColeDesigns
      @DebbieColeDesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, but I would never use washes or glazes on plastic, metal, or surfaces it would not adhere to.

    Debbie, I want to paint a lake. The view of the lake will be from a helicopter. The whole canvas will be lake. After the lake dries I want to paint an eagle flying over the lake. How do you paint a lake and have it look smooth like glass with a hint of reflection?

    • @DebbieColeDesigns
      @DebbieColeDesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is not a short answer for that....I would create a wash of various blues and wash in the lake area then come over it with white using the chisel edge of my brush.
