I have been deeply connected with Ste Mere Eglise since I was a kid. I used to play Call of Duty 1 for fun where the 1st mission is the liberation of this village. I was mesmerised by the setting and that parachute on the church left a big impact on me. I started to investigate about the village and its story and came to know the magnificence of the military action and the fact that Ste Mere Eglise was the 1st French village to be liberated on D-Day. And just like that, I developed a deep interest in the whole WW2, watching countless documentaries, movies, read hundreds of books etc making me the WW2 buff I am today. My dream is to one day visit this museum and experience the location first hand where it all began for the Allies and me personally. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I had the pleasure of visiting this museum, albeit all too briefly, while on a Normandy tour. I’m a museum nerd, and I agree with your assessment.. this museum was excellent. I only wish I had a full day or two to see the museum and St. Mere Eglise. Great review!
I visited Sante méré Eglise in October 2018 unfortunately the Airborne museum was closed that day and my itinerary didn’t allow a repeat visit another day.hoefully I can make a return visit in the future and it will be high on the list of places of interest .
Great video along with the integrated segments of amazing content. Another good video as always PP! Please keep the informative, well produced and interesting videos coming.
This is easily my favorite museum in the area. But I am also the great grandson of a 505th PIR veteran, and he fought in Sainte-Mere-Eglise during the Normandy invasion, so I am a little biased towards the town.
not sure if anyone cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my brother for the last few days =)
Hey dude I just found your channel, very well put together and researched, I live in the UK and my parents live in Weymouth where there is much dday history and artefacts, great work will definitely subscribe
Hi. Love the channel. Hopefully travelling next April for 5 days. Do you have a top 10 list of sites/places to go. I would trust your brilliant views. Thanks again and keep up the great work
Thank you for the comment and I have a Top 10 museum list th-cam.com/video/Y2RgrsmERgE/w-d-xo.html I will probably make a list of tank monuments to in the future so keep an eye out for that.
Hi, Panzer. Greetings from Texas. Very nice job; I'm fixing to go through your other videos thumbnailed over here on the right-hand side of my screen. How long would you recommend taking to visit these museums? A couple of hours each? It looks like these have been set up in the atmosphere I've long preferred for museum trips -- quiet, with no loud music or other sound effects. And I hate other visitors jabbering away or using cell phones. But that's just me. I've put these places on my bucket list. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for you're comment and question, I would say an hour, but I don't know if your the type of person that wants to read everything or just enjoy the displays?
SME liberated on 6 June by Ed Krause, 3 Bn/505, not 7 June. Interesting video none-the-less- it is a much better museum than the Dead Man’s Corner museum.

Rejoining your Troops after having escaped from POW is against the Geneva Convention.
That came about after ww2
Wow! What camera do you use? Thanks!
Canon 80D, I don't really like it and had a better experience with my Nikon.
I presume that the museum is not complete yet. They appear to have only recorded the American landings…
It's an airborne museum about the American sector.
Ci sono stato...bellissimo

Thank you Baron, but the town was in hand of the Paratroopers on 6 June, but the battle was far from over and it was won on 7 june.
Panzer Picture I won’t argue with you!
