I think you are working on the older version of after effects because new versions of after effects matte features work differently.
In the older version you have to place the noise layer over on the media layer and then try to change the track matte options

Im struggling with the track matte😢 all i see on my after effects are alpha matte (matte) and luma matte(matte) pls help
I think you are using old version of AE, if yes then place the matte layer over on the media, noise and stroke layer by creating duplicate of the matte layer and then try to change track matte options, you will get the results 👍✅✅
