The guy speaks with kenyan pronunciation but Nigerian intonation.
Nigerians don't have an American accent, their accent is just simply and uniquely Nigerian
I love your content! I also love how Swahili is uniting Africa
That's quite awesome Sir 👍
Lets look at history:
Kenya: A crown settler colony with a previously large white British population.
Nigeria: A British protectorate with few white settlers.
One country's black population had more interaction with the whites and how they pronounce words compared to the other. Though the English language is globally diverse in accents and we should accept those differences as they are.
Bantus migrated from Egypt then moved to Cental, East and Southern Aftica where they dominated. West Africa has very few Bantus probably less than 5%
@@africangwiji no they didn’t you can tell from their languages and accent. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Even the cultural clothing isn’t the same
@@Gilion100 when did I say Nigerians were Bantu? You wanted to be mentioned so bad. I said Bantus originate from west Africa. Not Egypt or East and South African regions
😂😂😂😂i really enjoyed Nigerian English its something else,,the "o" 😂😂😂😂
Homophones are words that sound the same but are different in meaning or spelling. When it come to homophones West Africans, Nigerians & Ghananians are notorious to grasp and always think they are right in their pronunciation, I wonder how they are taught in school 😅
English is a foreign language.
Nigerians are not illiterate. They are one of the best educated people in the USA.
I am a proud kenyan but i love Nigerians they are good people It's fun to be around them almost all of them are comedians.
The guy is pronouncing words correctly like a Kenyan but when he talks he sounds Nigerian
Same way when you meet with a Coastarian your swahili automatically shifts n you find yourself trying to sound like them.😅 I think that's what happened with our guy.
You should try, "cucumber" word and you will see magic. Nigerians pronounce their own things.
When they pronounce it, I'm reminded of the lyrics of an old song by Congolese artist, Lady Isa: _"dunia ina mambo, lukumba, lukumba"_ 🎶
I love this girl.
Nigerians have English as their national language.
All Kenyans speak kiswahili and English as their national language.
Bro is almost to bite his tongue trying Kenyan accent😂 we know our own, Sarah don't try to lie us 😂😅😂😂😂
Kenyan English varied due to ethnic teaching/modeling. Good speakers are often despised as ‘socially overreaching.’
Definitely Kenyan accent
The Kenyan got most words correct. You should not fully rely on google coz it is giving you American pronunciation of words. In Kenya, we are taught how to pronounce words in British dialect.
One thing you should is that when a word has a combination of letters like 'O' and 'R' and 'U' and 'R', the pronunciation changes. The combination produces a sound "a"
For example, doctor gets the sound docta while church becomes chach
You should be focusing now on how to deal with recolonization
😂😂 it should start with you ,, you should not respond in colonial language use your native language,,, some things are just impossible
I like kenya accent, i like kenya English
Cub…the “u” is the one for umbrella.
Sarah 😊😅😅😅 don't try this at home..😅😅😅
Both of you speak good understandable planet standard English
The Kenyan guy is speaking British English but Google is set in American English
Ahh. Sarah. This game is rigged. The google pronunciation voice is one of those Kenyans that the Kenyan president got digital jobs earning dollars🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Better or Proper English has nothing to do with Accent and pronunciation. Proper" English typically refers to the adherence to the grammatical rules, vocabulary, and stylistic conventions deemed standard within a particular English-speaking community or in formal written and spoken English.
The guy has a Nigerian accent. Love from Kenya
Nigeria curriculum should be overhauled. I wonder how they pronounce this way whereas in the dictionary the pronunciation is well indicated. We used to counter check with the dictionary in primary school.
Our kenyan guy is talking like a Nigerian 😂😂😂but pronunciation of the words we are well represented. But i enjoyed the episode.🎉
Is this boy a Kenyan or a Nigeria
Thank you for the video. Let’s end this battle for the accents because English was invented last night. It is a mixture of German, Latin and many other languages from around the world. This by no means an ancient language. Remember this Caucasian was living in a cave In 3000 BC and he had no speech ability. The Moors from Africa went to Europe in 711 AD to 1492 AD and taught this cave dwelling people civilization. This is why one word in English has 20 different meanings, because it’s a botched up language. Be proud of being African and be proud of speaking your native language.
That dude’s pronunciation is Kenyan but he’s speaking with Nigerian akxent 😂
I've had a goon laugh
Congrats to Kenyan guy, 🎉
Nigeria ❤should pan the oooo😂
Even those who like to pull titles like lawyer, barrister etc,… you will be surprised by how they pronounce English words.
watagooo poto poto
Kenyans are taught the real English how its pronounced in dictionary
Nigerians must you put letter 'o' in everything 😂😂😂😂😂
Remember in Kenya,we also have tribes that can't speak fluent English, and also some do speak exactly the English that is spoken in Nigeria .we have the Britons, which are Luos, then we have Italians which are Kiuks,we have Germans which are Luhyas, then the rest are others from the rest of European countries, you know what i mean
I still prefer the Nigerian accent.
I always hear Nigerians saying "Ningeria". 😊
even the google is from kenya❤❤❤
This guy speaks like a Nigerian. He has either been hanging out with Nigerians or watched alot of nollywood movies
Hey Sarah you keep pronouncing ‘H’ as Haitch but the correct pronunciation of ‘H’ is Aitch. And you are right some Kenyans will call you Salar because of tribal influence or lack of education
Nigerian pronunciations of words is mixed with pigin anyway we all understand each other
Omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣
the guy speaks like a Nigerian
Kenya better than Nigeria
In high school the literature class we studied a book called a man of the people by the legendary chinua achebe, there was alot of pidgin that's why i am not surprised when i hear a nigerian saying wetin be dis? 😂😂😂😂.
Wetin be this now Siz? Yok couldn't get a Kenyan to represent us abi? This brother is definitely Nigerian.
Am a luhya too but we don't sound like he does, he sounds like a Nigerian😂 @@princesssarahbee
@@kalasty-milka I don't know the word but there is always a shirt of accent depending the environment, example if you go to Mombasa you will find yourself speaking like them automatically,if you go to America you will found yourself as well "twenging" without struggle 😂😂😂😂 so the guy has been influenced by sara
you need two microphones
We speak better English in Kenya
Nigerians speak pidgin.
And call it English
Oya! That Red cap chief doesn't represent Kenyan accent/pronunciation. Nigerian pronunciation of English words is unique to Nigeria.
Down, dawn, daw, Dan
😅kenya my motherland😂
Pronunciation of words is closer to Kings English in countries that had English settlers. Kenya was a settler colony.
You probably noticed that Kenyans have Jewish, Christian, and Muslim names, too. Back in the day, Kenyans had to have Christian names to attend missionary schools, and the trend still exists, although not mandatory.
U will go crazy trying to figure out the English Language 😮😮
Why should we care about who speaks better English, we should be asking, which country has better policies, more creative people and better products!!!
How can nigerians talk about pronouncing words against kenyans, we are the best at this
Nigerian english is aomething else. Its neither american nor british. Where it came from, God knows.
Blue is blew 😂😂😂
or = a
Kenya pronounce Data as darra
Americans dont peak like that
No English words Nigerian pronounce is okay
The way this guy asks "are you in agreement?" There's no way he's Kenyan!.. doocta... c'mon please.
Who told you he isn't kenya, he is, its just that when even when I stay with nigerians, I start mentioning words like you guys
C'mon guys. Are you saying movies or hanging with Nigerian has completely wiped out his Kenyan accent. People live abroad for decades and you can still trace Kenyanese when they speak.
@@KIM-xl6zs there's no way an adult Kenyan/ who's grown in Kenya pronounces doctor the way he did.
are u serious ..american english !!! u r not evn serious ..american english dont have docto p0sto hongry bos and so on ..sarah u should search more on american english ..nigerian english and american english is like heaven and earth
Nigerians speak with an American Accent? Don’t make me laugh....😅😅
If you are don then you are a university teacher
😂😂😂😂🇰🇪sarah you say the sound ''t'' in water and claim to speak american english...you forgot ameriacans say ''worra'' or sometimes ''wo'a'' instead of water....

Nigeria 🇳🇬, American English 🇺🇸?? Girl have a seat 💺!! It's more native and English and there's nothing wrong with it.
In Kenya, the pronunciation of English words can vary depending on the speaker's tribal affiliation.
Each tribe may have its own phonetic patterns and accents that influence how English words are pronounced.
This diversity in pronunciation reflects the linguistic and cultural diversity within Kenya.
Pretty much like anywhere all over the world. Don't downplay the fact that 'normal' Kenyans, as opposed to those tribal mofos with a village mentality, generally speak good english.😂😂
What are you trying to say😂😂 there is nothing like depending with the tribe where you come from
We all learn same English in kenyan syllabus, so I think our English should be the same despite the tribe
@@Faithiman221 Do you know sometimes you can tell this is a Kikuyu and this is a luo when they are speaking English?
Pronunciation also depends with the school and the teacher.I'm kenyan but some of Jesse's pronunciation are different as you can hear from Google. But as long as we understand each other hakuna shida.English is not ours 😂
Kenyans were colonized by British meaning Kenyan English goes hand in hand london or British English
The problem with Nigerian English,,,everything must end with oooo, its a factoooo instead its a fact,so where do you get o in every English words
Sarah even American English is not what you speak....in kenya we have both slants but British rules.yours is just wrong pronunciation but it's still British english.i will say it is influenced more by your local languages
American English doesn't sound like that, that lady is rigging
Kenya speaks better English, the man there is not from East but from west, his tongue can sell him out.
So, this guy with Nigerian accent is Kenyan! Come on, he can't be.
kenya is was colonized by the English,so i would say Kenya speaks and pronounces right
You Nigerian with letter O no one can sperate both of you 😂
Nigeria should stop speaking English
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nigerian English is the best…this lady is a joker
Everyone should know that Nigerians are unique in the whole Africa. Nigerians have dominant spirit right from day one so they don't believe in copying anybody but do things in their own way.
We didn't allow colonialism to stop us from who we are. Nigeria is the only country in Africa that can proudly say that despite colonialism our culture, norms, tradition, accent etc are still intact and that makes us unique and always standout.
The dominance spirit of Nigeria started hundreds of years ago and is still on that's why the Europeans couldn't change us and they admitted that we are the most stubborn, intelligent etc in Africa ( we no dey gree for anybody)🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬💯💯💯💪💪💪
You talking too much irrelevancies
😂😂😂😂 But now you're running there for better life....Everything in Nigeria is good....But what l see tells me different....Nigerians passport is number 50 out of 54.....Explain.
Don't hype yourself with nonsense. When was intelligence data collected in Africa? Calm down
the reason you were cultures are intact is because you were never a real colony..nigeria was not a settler colony so the effects were very minimal
