@@SogaardReedWriter Perhaps the Stalinist design of the station in the center. Although the new ones are also not bad. For example, the one you showed in the video. I also really like the Dostoevskaya station built in the early 2010s. It is beautiful not visually but in its references and incredible atmosphere referring to the works of the great writer. I recommend visiting :)
Ahahahahahaha. This is the first video of yours that I watched. I see that you already have Dostoevskaya on your channel. What a coincidence. Much respect!
@@ManykeyZ Thank you! I absolutely love Dostoyevskaya, and Pykhtino is amazing. But of course I am in agreement with you, the classic designs of Kievskaya are unbeatable! Are there any metro stations or destinations you would like me to visit in the future? )
The Pykhtino Metro station is so beautiful. 😍 It reminds me of something out of futuristic Scifi movie. 🎬 My favorite Metro station in Moscow is the one with all the beautiful artwork. Whoever did it went to great lengths to make it so beautiful. Just like the Pykhtino station in Moscow the person or people who designed and did the work of that new Moscow Metro station is very talented. The rocket 🚀 or spaceship on the ceiling catches your eye. Thank you Nicholas for show us the Metro stations in Moscow. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 to you in Russia 🇷🇺
By the way as someone who was born and raised in Toronto the Metro stations in Moscow makes the Toronto subway stations like a dump in comparison. And I am new subscriber thanks to Igor. I was beginning to think the Countryside Acres large farming family from Ontario were the only Canadians in Russia 🇷🇺 ? They live in Nizhny Novgorod in the country part but they visit the city quite often and it's a very beautiful city, too. 800 years old.
@@waynemclaughlin96 Yeah our metro in Canada is a sad story, I'm from Vancouver and the comparison to Moscow is like fried eggs and eggs Benedict. Definitely a lot of lessons we could learn from Moscow!
as matter of fact, the author of the lyrics of this song at 3:13 is Vladimir Voinovich (Владимир Войнович), he is also the author of the novel "Moscow 2042" It's really fun that you decide decorate your video with the Voinovich's work :))
@@ppetrowich I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I absolutely love the song 14 minutes until launch, or 'I believe my friends'. I'll have to check out that novel!
It's an amazing station! My girlfriend works right by it, so she has a special grudge against this station haha, but she also admits it's an amazing design.
@@SogaardReedWriter I have only seen a couple of Moscow metros from your videos. Even though I appreciate the metro stations that resemble architecture from bygone eras, I am more partial to the sleek, cold look of the modern style. I have been influenced by my travels to modern style stations in Japan, Singapore, England, Denmark and Germany. I am looking forward to exploring the stations in NewYork in a couple of weeks!
Keep up the great videos! Glad to have discovered your channel from Igor. Hope you find fulfillment in our wonderful country 👍
@@alexneo5352 Welcome to my channel! Hope to bring you some great content in the near future 😁
There is no "best" station in the Moscow metro. There are so many great stations that it is impossible to pick one specific best.
Thank you for watching, what is your favorite Metro design?

@@waynemclaughlin96 My pleasure, glad you enjoyed the video! Phyktino is amazing, the color scheme reminds me of the game Portal 2 actually haha.

Комсомо́льская and Маяковская looks like 5 star hotels
