LAARIS "Laser Atmospheric Augmented Reality Interactive System"
is the new interactive system made of a special sensor and a software framework. It allows creation of interactive games with lasers, as well as interactive shows. The projections are modified in real time to interact physically with the user(s) and create totally new effects and games. The system does not use a kinect, but a real high speed and very high resolution industrial sensor with nothing to install on the users. People passing by can play... they just have to enter the zone, and it works.
Some applications created so far:
- Body tracker - the simplest test program tracking people entering the zone to allow them to play with lasers like a laserman.
- Labyrinth - the next step of laser harp where you can trig loops and sounds by hitting laser beams and shapes around you and walk through the music like a labyrinth. Unlimited polyphony and number of players.
- Laser Pong - the first ball game using atmospheric lasers. you play the ball (a cone of laser) with any part of you body and score on both sides of the pyramidal playground.
- Motion Play : plays a show interactively. Recently used in TV Program "Beat The Best" for the Laser Fighters finale.
