I couldn't sleep I found this video in the watch later list and I would not watch it for weeks. Now I opened it and at the prayer at the end I found myself crying so hard. I remembered the word I received two months ago, Psalm 132,15: I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor I will satisfy with food. This is when I didn't know what to do with my life and I started having ideas which I acted upon faithful. I found two jobs and a new dream for the future was born in me. But at the same time something inside of me was also dying and I felt at loss, doubting my own thoughts.
I cry everytime I watch the chosen my eyes are so swollen when I'm done watching and I've watched all seasons over and over,I cant get enough,I need jesus every second of everyday of my life till I go home to jesus❤god bless Dallas and god bless johnathan roomier and all cast,peace be with you all❤

Thanks for this. As someone working in the Hollywood industry for over a decade now, it can be VERY discouraging. Seems like nepotism rules the land. The monumentous challenges of funding can be overwhelming and dejecting. We desperately need more content like The Chosen.
I feel the same way about the art world. As an artist I’ve been so discouraged by other artists and by the grace of God ran into another artist who shared her hurtful experience with me. Before I knew it we were sharing how God has shaped our art and she recommitted herself to going back to church! As for me, my faith has kept me going and I left feeling like God wants me to carry on with my art. Just to emphasize it, God allowed several people to see and comment on how beautiful a piece was that I was carrying around shopping for the correct frame. God truly brings to us what He needs us to do for His kingdom! Praise our ever present Lird!!! 🙏🏼❤️🥰

❤My family loves The Chosen. I think a lot of thought went into the show and you can tell the director, Dallas Jenkins, takes it seriously. He's received quite a bit of slack because certain things are not in the Bible but he is very clear that it is biblically inspired and he uses historians to fill in the gaps, so viewers have a better understanding of the culture and experiences of that time. For me, it's the best movie/show that I've seen depicting the life of Jesus and His apostles. Additionally, so many people have come to Jesus Christ just through watching the show. It's amazing to hear all the testimonies. More people are reading the Word (KJV) of God. Even though it's biblically inspired, to watch the show is like reading a gospel account of what took place. In my opinion, it's worth checking out. Thank you Dallas for allowing Father God to bless you to be a great blessing to so many.❤

The Chosen is INTERNATIONAL and as good and much better than a Lot of "B" movies or as good as major studio productions. I worked in the entertainment industry industry and it's values and priorities towards a show like this. Dallas, you guys are GREAT & INSPIRATIONAL. Because of my trials in my life, which I don't regret. It's made me incredibly strong. Words from people I've discussed about my issues with my life. No TMI, this is about you. BTW, just because I've read both kid & adult Left Behind series. Even through everything that's happened in my life has been a lesson, but not terrible, even though I hunger for love from a real flesh and blood, God is enough because He fixes things. He's fixing me and some of it is natural and has to do with my genetics. But Jesus was perfect in all ways and things and next season scares me because I know what's coming, but I also know the end. I'd like spoilers, good ones, in my life too, but that's not how it works. And that's OK. I'm finally getting the big picture. He's handling the ugly details. And Praise all 3 for that. I pray this is also reaching people like CS Lewis' books did. Thank you, bless you, may you be blessed with success like a full cup and running over. Not sure about the US but in Canada 25 years ago in the Catholic schools we had 4 courses in religion class we had to choose from to graduate for the final semester. We had to pick just one course. I ended up completing all 4 courses all because of the one course I picked and it was to review the movie “Left Behind”. I ended up getting honours because of that movie. That movie was a huge imprint on my journey into faith. Such a huge blessing, Thank you 💗
What I believe is the most important thing about "The Chosen" is that, while it does depict stories of Christ from Scripture, it's equally true that there is a lot of prime-time soap opera (fiction), as well. Dallas is the chief creator; he's a writer and director. But even he says the purpose of the show is to get people to go (or go back) and read the Gospels. True, it brings the story of Jesus Christ closer to people in the way it depicts these episodes, and it changes viewers' perspectives, and for that, praise the Lord. BUT this is not a biblical documentary, and it's dangerous to believe that "The Chosen" is totally scriptural. It isn't, and Dallas has said as much quite often.

So many stories about Jesus, concentrate on the horror of the cross, and even forget that the hardest part was Jesus taking all our sins upon Himself! He saved humanity! It wasn’t an easy thing to do at all. He even didn’t want to do it, but thank you but He did it. That is why in my mind it is so important to concentrate mainly on His resurrection like all the past movies and series and other ways of following Jesus life
in my pursuit of purpose during my trying time, the show somewhat made me read the bible more.. wanting to know more about Jesus.. not only that, it healed me.. im still suffering just the same with my human body, with pain and ailments.. but knowing my Lord walks on water, and need not to say the word.. yeah.. i'm healed.. the peace i have right now is awesome and words are not enough to describe.. i still need my heart bypass, i still need my therapies, my mental state is still struggling.. im still broken.. but the Lord calls me and im ok.. struggling with every breath.. but im ok.. kinda hard to explain.. put in simple terms.. I can smile now.. like how the show explained Little James' condition.. broken but fine..

Dallas has this genius to create this biblical série about Jesus and disciples, success is one thing but successful is through the chosen is the revelation of people ,their faith, their volontary to follow teachings Jesus or the values he propagates , this is a great réussite about the humanitarian chain and that's miraculous absolutely ❤
In my opinion, it's not looks, it's feelings and actions. I see Matthew growing from being almost entirely brilliant with accounting & details, possibly a little OCD and instead is now the scribe for the eventual Messiah. Jerusalem fell in 70AD. I'm not sure all the books were written by then. Haven't researched dates. But Bible prophecies from Old Testament come to pass in New Testament. You'd be astounded. Do a basic study or listen to prominent pastors who DON'T ask for money. They teach about it to bless you. The scary part is the ending. Wow, a crowd funded movie/series on Revelation. That actually might not be possible. Petra, where the Jews are meant to spend End Times is a look, don't touch place. Too precious to history and future. It's incredible and documentaries have been done about it already. Good ones. Probably National Geographic and History channel. Just Google it. Very interesting.
That's fine. The show is meant to be entertainment first. Personally, I learned so much about ancient Jewish customs that it gives me historical context when rereading Scripture.
Great show….I really enjoy watching it. But I don’t believe God spoke directly to him or his wife. He was right though…..it was the breakfast. Just keep in mind that the Bible only tells us the details we need to know….nothing more. I don’t need to imagine the finer details of these people in the Bible. The fact that they have flaws like the rest of us and made real changes (repentance) in their lives because of the teachings of Jesus is all I need. Good show. I bought the first 3 seasons……just have to keep the entertainment separated from the biblical.

I think this is the point that most people tend to miss in the discussion as to whether a show like The Chosen is OK. No matter how it's portrayed, any media production (book, film, show, whatever) even ones that only quote the bible, still have to contend with interpretations as to the manner in which things were spoken or seen or heard and received. Entertainment should never replace biblical study or teaching. Let it be simply that - entertainment. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
Actually, you DO need to imagine and understand the finer details of the accounts found in scripture to be able to truly understand them. Without the finer details, you have an inaccurate and incomplete interpretation of the events and people. And your first statement about not believing God spoke directly to him, who are you to make that statement and on what do you base your claim?
Dallas says many times in interviews and on the app that it isn’t a substitute for the Bible and not all of it comes from the Bible. Having said that, I understand your concerns if you haven’t heard him. What would be a way he could get that across for those that haven’t listened to Dallas speak about it?

Do a basic study or listen to prominent pastors who DON'T ask for money. They teach about it to bless you. The scary part is the ending. Wow, a crowd funded movie/series on Revelation. That actually might not be possible. Petra, where the Jews are meant to spend End Times is a look, don't touch place. Too precious to history and future. It's incredible and documentaries have been done about it already. Good ones. Probably National Geographic and History channel. Just Google it. Very interesting.
That's fine. The show is meant to be entertainment first. Personally, I learned so much about ancient Jewish customs that it gives me historical context when rereading Scripture.

Great show….I really enjoy watching it. But I don’t believe God spoke directly to him or his wife. He was right though…..it was the breakfast. Just keep in mind that the Bible only tells us the details we need to know….nothing more. I don’t need to imagine the finer details of these people in the Bible. The fact that they have flaws like the rest of us and made real changes (repentance) in their lives because of the teachings of Jesus is all I need. Good show. I bought the first 3 seasons……just have to keep the entertainment separated from the biblical.

I think this is the point that most people tend to miss in the discussion as to whether a show like The Chosen is OK. No matter how it's portrayed, any media production (book, film, show, whatever) even ones that only quote the bible, still have to contend with interpretations as to the manner in which things were spoken or seen or heard and received. Entertainment should never replace biblical study or teaching. Let it be simply that - entertainment.

Actually, you DO need to imagine and understand the finer details of the accounts found in scripture to be able to truly understand them. Without the finer details, you have an inaccurate and incomplete interpretation of the events and people. And your first statement about not believing God spoke directly to him, who are you to make that statement and on what do you base your claim?

You are adding things that are not in the Bible. Someone who has not read the Bible will think they is true.
Dallas says many times in interviews and on the app that it isn’t a substitute for the Bible and not all of it comes from the Bible. Having said that, I understand your concerns if you haven’t heard him. What would be a way he could get that across for those that haven’t listened to Dallas speak about it?

I started reading the Bible because of this show so it was definitely a blessing but I do see what you’re saying.
