Well here I am Lou Anne (with an E) looking for inspiration for an outdoor mosaic wall and I find a Lou Ann and this beautiful work! 🤩😍 God's continued blessings to you! 🙏🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words Nina. If you want the wall to last clean it well first, I recommend using the best quality thinset mortar for out side in the weather. You can buy tools to cut the tile, but I enjoy breaking them with a hammer and making a design also. Let me know if you have questions. I am still continuing this wall and you can see more mosaic videos
This is a real labour of love. I really like how you show that it's a time consuming project, can't be done in a day. I've been wanting to do something like this to add some pop of colour in my garden. I'm thinking I'll do the stair risers going to the top section of my garden, so that I'm working in manageable chunks. I just can't decide if I want it to be one continuous image/theme, or just to see what happens as I go, and let it be colourful and chaotic!
Thank you so much for you kind encouragement... this section took about 2- 3 months working 2 days a week with lots of help.. the full wall shown in the linked videos, it actually was a process of 4 years... with some months break in between the sections.. I don't actually know how long it took.. but a long time
Wonderful creation, thankyou for showing the process, and all those who participated. I am a painter, but have recently discovered that there is something about the fractal nature of mosaics which really inspires me. I have done my first pebble mosaic, and was surprisingly pleased with how it came out. Doing mosaics on a wall is a new challenge i would like to learn,so thankyou for sharing your knowledge. I look forward to more of your videos. Best wishes from Devon. God bless.
@WildWoodlandsSW What a wonderful encouragement to me . Thank you ... i have linked other videos of this mosaic in the description following this video. It grew longer and longer!! I finished it a while ago.
@rn9119 Thank you for your kind encouragement... Yes.. it did take a long time , i did it in 4 sections, about 1-3 days a week, and at times a few months in between... and i had alot of help from time to time... but the whole process was 4 years!! Don't be discouraged with the long process... in the end it is a unique art form that could last for decades if done right... the ancient ones are hundreds of years old !!
