I'm a 55 year old woman, and I remember when my Mom and Dad and I would bring several of my cousins with us to Roeding Park every summer for my birthday, when I was a little girl, back in the 70's. It's been ages since I was last there! So many great memories!
Roeding Park has changed quite a bit. It's not the same Roeding Park I, and so many others, remember from childhood, but I'm glad it's still here. It would be fun to visit this place again.

Yes, Roeding Park has definitely changed over the years, but Storyland still looks for mostly the same. I do miss the Jack and the Beanstalk slide by the Castle though that I remember as a kid going there. Playland was going to close this January, but luckily they found the funds to keep it open till June. My plan is to video Playland soon. I hope they are able to find a permanent solution to keep it open. We really have a treasure with the zoo, playland and storyland here in the Central Valley. Hopefully they all can remain open and continue to thrive.

They are still open and it is September 2024. I wonder if they finally got the funding.
