LKY was just a man, a very smart man but nevertheless still a man with his foibles and some half baked idea which has long term impact on Singapore (eg "Two is enough" policy) Two things which LKY could have loosen up in his last years: 1) press freedom 2) a return to a jury based system. but he did not.
