I met Mal briefly with Hillary Gerard, May and John and Harry Nilsson at the Riviera Hotel In Las Vegas, In 74. A real gentleman! I still have the photos.
I made this comment once before on another video a while back but I kind of feel like Mal is sort of the Chewbacca of the Beatles saga. He’s always there helping out but still kind of unsung. And he was also really big and could be intimidating if needed but was mostly really sweet and cuddly. All the love out to Mal Evens! Also, congratulations on the book! That’s really cool and sounds like a really interesting read. I will definitely check it out!
Mal Evans never became a wealthy man working with the Beatles but he had a dream job millions would have loved to have done. Setting up their instruments, making cups of tea, doing shopping etc,
Interesting but doesn't give a lot of info on the 'tragic' events of Mal's ending. Having seen countless Police bodycam videos in recent years, I bet the police shot first and asked questions later. Are we really going to believe Mal aimed an air-rifle straight at the Police and they told him to put the weapon down before they decided to shoot? I get the feeling that the air-rifle was probably placed in his hands after he was dead.
I agree with you. Two out of the Beatles and their inner circle died from gun violence while living in the United States. We were not there and can't vouch for what happened but it's not out of the realm of possibility that they fired on him when he posed no real threat. Or was merely holding the gun. His large size could have had something to do with it as well. Large guy holding a rifle, shoot first. If it was a protracted conversation with him not cooperating, it could have been suicide by cop. But who knows. With the amount of cops with itchy trigger fingers and poor training these days, it's a possibility.
The LA police executed Mal. He was shot 56 times. Those assholes mowed him down and got away with it. He was shot 56 times. This was 1976. YOU LEAVE MAL ALONE YOU CLUELESS FANBOY.

@@ricopaulson1 Mal Evans script for his memoires vanished when he died. His publisher were waiting for the script and he was really surprised when it went missing?
In November 1966, Paul and Mal were on a return flight from Kenya. Paul had the idea for an Edwardian style military band and Mal helped with the naming of that band. The two of them were throwing ideas around and were basing the name on American west-coast groups of the time like Big Brother and the Holding Company or Country Joe and The Fish. McCartney has said that the idea for the title came from his mishearing Evans asking for "salt and pepper" over a meal.
Did you know that there was a band 'called Billy Pepper and the Pepper-pots who had a songwriter named "Billy Shears"? Why did they pick the name "Billy Shears" when it was a real person? Their only album "Billy Pepper and the Pepper-pots" is available on this platform. Another strange thing concerning Mal Evans was his memoires he just had finished writing and the publisher said Mal Evans script went mysteriously missing!

Killed for writing a tell all true story about the death of Paul
He was a big teddy bear who loved, was totally dedicated to the Beatles & did not deserve to go out like that. Rest in peace Malcolm Evans 😔🙏🏼

So sad. And so undeserved. Who knows how things would've turned out for the Beatles without Mal.
Yeah he played such an important role in their career!
Awesome video have a great weekend Agustin ❤😊
Thanks! You too!

I'd love to talk more about that in the video. But I try to stick to facts, and we can't know any of that for sure!
Mal didn't come up with the name "Sgt. Pepper "; Paul did

Was also gonna reveal Billy to the world as well
He was sadly killed because of drugs and the LA PDs lack of skills at the time. Paul is still alive and kicking ❤
@@DavidMcdonald-df8tb Who told you that? :)
That's what happened. Why do you want to disrespect Paul McCartney so much that you like to say he's a phony?
