i just tried necromancy and unless they patch it the zombie's poison can and will kill the mother if you're lazy and don't want to bring combat changes and yes it does complete the quest for you thought id share ;)
That moment when you're maxed, hate questing and then get to do this quest... to realise you're on the ancient spell book from pvm. smh xD Good guide btw :D
Forgot to do this one somehow until at 80+ magic....so Polyspore basically instakills the Daganoth, just a weird little interaction if you put this off like I did.

I was already fighting her before you showed me what to do, but I murdered her without doing any of the magic attack switches lol.
What magic level were you when you fought the final boss?
Haha same thing happen with my boss fight, I two shot it with air spells on legacy server and it was a completely unexpected quest complete popup.
