Robert Rother started trading stocks at the age of 13; At 17, he co-founded an investment firm and moved to China in 2004, where he founded his second investment company. With a fortune of over $100 million, he was arrested in May 2011 for outwitting the Chinese financial system and released in December 2018. Robert currently offers proprietary trading education tools at RobertRother.com.
Trading style:
The market is based on four main factors: price, time, volume and liquidity. My focus is primarily on volume and liquidity. The VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) and the AVWAP (Anchored Volume Weighted Average Price) have become crucial benchmarks for me because they integrate both price and volume. When these are combined with liquidity, a powerful strategy results. Additionally, in ES trading, I monitor cross and correlation markets such as ETFs (like SPY). I also consider option prices and volumes to determine possible price directions.
