The lads at EGCC-FD have a sense of humor I see. Compelling content, captivating medium. Hopefully these comments don't get too redundant, but you have a very sharp wit about yourself Simon. Two aspects I have observed are background management; the spectacular clouds for example. Knowing the right time to segue. When the viewer's mind COULD wander, after looking at a similar view for a few seconds, you have the sense to segue into a different perspective, angle or point of view. So nicely done!
I watched a different video on the fire truck that is being used in this video. The nozzle on the front of it can be operated without the driver leaving the seat. Design truly is a beautiful thing.
Many think that the life of a firefighter is very easy, but it is not, the risks and challenges must be faced with courage and strength to provide security to the community.
Oh to add, ARFF training (at least in the US, not sure about UK) INCLUDES standard FF training... So pretty much anything a standard dpt can do, so can ARFF and then some.
Its too dangerous as it is asbestos we have natural and fugal bacteria to stop flames from burning you these uniforms are very effective for firefighting because there fireproof and they have a full head protection helmet and 40-1 hour long breathing aparatus
Hi Simon! We would love to show your video to the children visiting Manchester Airport's education centre 'AeroZone', which is free for schools and colleges to visit. In the centre, we have a fire station zone and the children visiting us would love to see our amazing fire crew in action! Is this ok with you?
Hello MAG 🙂 yes, please show the video. I'm sure it will be of interests to the students and maybe inspire some to become firefighters in the future. I am live streaming these days at man. Is there any possibility of filming from the old control tower? Best regards!
These guys train with gas or LPG as its a clean burn and does not require the use of foam as a media agent, jet fuel burning creates a very thick dense black smoke that would create problems for aircraft nearby as this fire ground is very close to the airfield. I should know I'm one of them lol
As i have said before they are real they have the same equipment and attend emergencys outside of the airport and most of them are retained firefighters for the county fire service
Videos training are knowledge for me becuase I am fireman at Wattay internatoinal airport of Laos .Now we have three new fire truck ( MAGIRUS IVECO Dagon X6 )
I can never understand why city fire engines are not equipped with the,(on top of engine) instant foam/water,facility, they seem to arrive at a fire and spend precious time unwinding and connecting hoses etc, when water or foam could be used in seconds.
Better to use AFFF (foam) compound for good & faster results...Firefighters stand under the aircraft. Instead of that use, AKRON Ground Monitor is a good idea...
Yeah and in their kinda situations, most of your 'real firemen' would go 'OH FUCK WE CAN'T FIGHT THIS, CALL THE ARFF TEAMS'. Nor would your 'truck' 'engine' etc be EQUIPPED for an Aircraft emergency such as this. They may not run structure calls like your city teams, but who's your regular FD gonna call when shit hits the ground? These guys.

@sjaash they only have this operational uniform as seen here and parade uniform for funerals or parades.

Stunning video! We have a similar training rig down here!
@fireuk Canon XH-A1. Many thanks!

I love the quality of this video. One question Though? Why aren't they wearing fire proximity clothing. Or is that only in the US.

looks like a DC-747 (DC-10 fused witha 747)

What happened to pulling the fire handle?
@WebbSecuritySystems they train in such instance there is a crash at an airport

Remarkable video, Simon! Lowe's quality :) Eduardo Ocampo, Colombia

training?
Put water on fire. Fire go out.
@@richardcook1987 it's a lot more than that u know
sucks when u put 1st engine out n it bursts back into flames lol, then No1 catches fire n then the main landing gear... lol, great vid Simon......
Can anyone tell me, what is dimension of tray which we use for create fire in monthly hot fire drill at airport
yeah why aren't they using foam? Is it too expensive ?
Its a drill no need
was that only a ordinary water they use...? i thought they gonna use special chemicals...
Oh that's liquid nitrogen but this is a drill

City is too small for 1 it takes time for these machines to turn
Are they just training how to spray correctly or what, no effect with that water.
Better to use AFFF (foam) compound for good & faster results...Firefighters stand under the aircraft. Instead of that use, AKRON Ground Monitor is a good idea...
That's what it is
@@Zackislivid Its water you imbecile.
manchester new hampshire or manchester england theres an airport in both places
Nice video !👍👍👍👍
+Braaap Studio Rescue and 4x4 Channel thanks!
@insanegokartguys Manchester England.
the positioning of the fire tenders (firetrucks). it should have been position at an angle of 45degrees... this is engine fire bro..
I don't agree. cover the main body at all times spread out to the engines. 45 angles are suitable for military
This is a drill
use the mechanicle foam.
@TheAviationSpotter97
that my friend is popping and locking :P
Under wing position ff?????!!!!!!!!! Is is danger//
Who is watching this in 2020
The first Manchester, the one yours was named after.......;)
if there was a crash, they need CAFS or at least foam for the fuel not water. water+jet fuel= not good
Its a drill they would use foam and other retardants
I love this B76-11-400 ;P
Lol it looks like an MD-747 (a md-11 mixed with a 747)
they ant using foam because its an exercise, you cant use foam for exercises.....only on retests ....
Wow that's cool
very good

Its a 747/767/MD-11 :)
Takes a while before they start those watercanons
Well it has a big tank and is cold so it takes some time to be sucked up into the cannon
haha yes it is :)
I'm totally shocked that they do this at live airports where passengers can easily witness and mistaken... but where else would they do it?
pure H2O ;D
No it's liquid nitrogen and foam mixed
But this is a drill
Whe have a much better idee
this is training?
they are walking around amazingly aiming their hoses at the points of fire! wow!!😂
Stu Thomas hey they could save your life dont mock them
we have the best fire fighters in the world atleast were not kicking about in 5th century trucks and leather hats
Fbhgg
Enorm slecht aanvalsplan gewoon amateurs dit lijkt nergens op
This cant be a serious training exercise, zero urgency from deployment, poor firemanship etc etc! Quality camera work tho
Your an idiot ITS A DRILL FOAM IS HARD TO GET IN THE UK BECAUSE OF OUR GOVERMENT
