We likely have some of the same old Penguin pattern books. The designs were so trendy in the 89’s and 90’s after all the very old fashioned knitting books that my mother gave me. Such a fun bonus episode! I know you’ve made more things, the teddybear ear bonnets, ribbed leggings and the adorable pinafore dress but maybe this was recorded before. It was so entertaining to see the amazing knits from your grandmother…wow! The cherry cardigan and trousers looked so familiar so I took out my old baby magazines that I used for my daughters and found it in the Dale baby collection nr. 60. There are so many cute and colorful sweaters. Thank you! ❤

How lucky you are to have so many knits from your grandmother. My mother knit for my children and I kept them. My grandchildren have worn them. My daughter was so happy I kept her grandma’s knits. My cousin sent me a pattern book that has the Marius sweaters in it. She also sent me a Norwegian English dictionary to help. It’s been years since I spoke Norwegian. When I visit my cousins it comes back:)). But I haven’t been back in a long while. I love your Norwegian knits!!

I raised 3 children without a single knit outfit, just some crochet blankets that were gifted ,how is that possible? of course I didn't knit at all then and live in a warmer climate but I love wool. I love that you have these pieces you may find you will just throw something on that is clean ,dry and not worry much about matching. nice memories for you

My mom stored them in a cardboard box with holes for air so it didnt get stuffy or molded
