This is a really wonderful film, a wonderful tribute to JFK. The Kennedy administration was the last this country had that its people followed so intensely, supported and actually had faith in. With the death of John kennedy, this country also died in many ways. It will never be the same. So many of us who were very young that fateful day in Dallas remember, and the questions today are many. The world respected us then. How different this nation would be had he lived to serve his term!

When I was little I would see this documentary every Nov 22 then my parents would tell me and my brothers why that date was so special in our family. My mother was having surgery that same day and she loved the Kennedys she could not be told for several days what happened to JFK for fear it would upset her too much (she found out later that day what happened and had no ill reaction) My mother got to shake JFK's hand before the election and 7 years later got to shake Bobby's hand too

Watching this documentary with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes - wandering what JFK and RFK would have accomplished if they had been given the chance.
History may have been taken in a completely different path. It was not meant to be and we are left with a promising start that was cut short before it could be proved beneficial to all.
Despite the fact that the brothers were all too human - they did what they could to improve world conditions - beginning with their own country.

Although there are some stretches of the truth in this film because this film was intended for overseas, it nevertheless is accurate about most of the accomplishments and the impression that people had of JFK and the magnitude of the loss and how it affected people all over the world. One of the unfortunate results of his death was what happened to the Alliance for Progress after he died as it became of shell of what he had intended before it faded away.

Unlike the Great Divider we have today. A huge part of us Americans died that Nov day in 63. I was a month shy of three yrs old that day. The division and unrest today and viciousness and conspiracy and efforts at supreme control (aka Socialism) are horrendous. Right now i declare i am absolutely ashamed to be an American. In two short yrs we have de-volved into a third rate country run by a corrupt good ole boys network of crooks only content on fillling their own pockets. Come January, maybe then the committees will finally find the Diaper Filler and his entire corrupt family out and lock every one of them up, and take half their crooked administration with them. One can only have such an errant wish for the New Year.

Quote by ATTORNEY GENERAL ROBERT FRANCIS KENNEDY ~
"When I think of President Kennedy I think of what Shakespeare said in Romeo and Juliet:
    When he shall die
Take him and cut him out in little stars
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun."

Those drums really stay with ya, haunting, when he was in Ireland was he received so enthusiastically by the Protestant Irish or was this in Northern Ireland,? I wonder cuz Don't they hate each other viperously ? President Kennedy's driver was protestant Irish btw, just sayin' we lost so much, never been the same never will be heartbreaking to the core

well the way I understand that is not so much their religion but their politics which as you know it's been bloody hence the U2 song Sunday bloody Sunday, basically I understand it like this, the protestant Irish in the south are loyal to the crown where the Catholics up north want autonomy it's where the IRA comes from, not the retirement plan but the militia kind, I was just curious how he was received,

No The Kennedy's weren't Saints but What happened to the Kennedy's is Tragic Had the Oldest Brother not been killed he would have been president of united States John Kennedy didn't really have interest for politics it was after his oldest brother was Killed Else Wise John Kennedy could have been involved as a writer. Already. Wrote his first Novel & in his own right He was scholar Kennedy could have been whatever he wanted This family has had their share or tragedy before & after John & Bobby were Assassinated. Who knows what John & Robert Kennedy could have done if They weren't involved in Politics & if They both didn't come from a wealthy background? ??

    • @plezful
      @plezful 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes if the Joe had lived he would have became president for 8 years then John Bobby then Ted after 36 years we would have had a Kennedy dynasty and that’s another reason they had to be stopped.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a KGB agent, recruited in Japan and trained in Russia and given a KGB wife ☝️
Sirhan Sirhan was the first Palestinian terrorist in America, and they are also historically supported by the KGB 🚩
International terrorism as we know it was invented by KGB general Alexander Sakharovsky ☠️
