I may make one of these to wake my kid up the next time he wets the bed.
Instead of just a buzzer, trigger a relay to activate a sump pump to keep your basement from flooding. Or a bilge pump and alarm to let you know your boat is sinking. Or sensors under your porch to signal the creek is rising and you need to move uphill.
Or maybe use a passive float switch that dosent require constantly being powered
Seeing the application of three different methods, each using some distinct variety of materials to arrive at the same conclusion, is useful to me as a novice. Although I may find no immediate practical use for such a device, I can extrapolate from these examples other possibilities. It’s inspiring.

3 different waterbug designs.
When I was installing alarm systems, we often installed waterbugs at the bases of water heaters, to alert to leaks. Water heater leaks in the middle of the night, everybody in the house is waking up, along with a few neighbors. Exciting stuff.

I was amazed that I still remembered that red red brown was 220 ohms. Last time I did an electronics project LEDs only came in red or green.

I remember back in 80´s came LED with different color depending current in our local electronics shop in Finland and I was in absolut awe as 12 years age

One can make these projects with cheaper and fast switching BC 547 transistors.
BD 139 is a power transistor and useful for comparatively high current loads.

I would recommend about 1 kohm series resistor with water sensing loop to limit the transistor base current. This will prevent burning the transistor, If the water sensing leads are accidentally shorted.

The conductivity of pure water or even tap water is to low to make these circuits work. My guess is that water was saturated with salt.

if you replace the 5v speaker on the first one with an electric valve you can make an automated water dispenser
Nice little circuits. I'm an old deaf electronics guy. I cheat. Take a smoke detector. Attach one wire to one side of the N.O. test switch the other to the other. Only downside is neighbours think there is a fire. Use it for if fish tanks leak. Add It to breadboard, make a a rain deretector for the clothesline if it starts raining, or your convertable. Nice simple cucuits 😊

It's an LED, with random diode and resister attached. It's nothing, It doesn't make sence... If you look at his other thumbnails he does this a lot. they are just there to draw you in

Please put in the title what you are making so people don't waste their time watching a video making something they are not going to make or don't have an interest in. Your title implied that there were going to be things doing different stuff. It would be helpful to people to explain how something works so they can either use different parts to do the same thing if they can't get hold of the parts you are using and they might be able to modified it to do other things if that is possible with any of the projects you posted.
