I happened upon an essay by Imogen Sara Smith titled Dana Andrews: The Forties Hero and His Shadow. Her insight into the actor and his films are nuanced and I connected with her writing. That led me to find some clips from her Criterion work and your review of her book. Good work.
Smith has a great article on Argentine Noir, specifically The Beast Must Die, in the new issue of the Noir City magazine. She also has a new 30 minute video discussion with Eddie Muller in the supplements of the recent Criterion release of Double Indemnity, which is available on the Criterion Channel.
