It'd sound better with a Fender Jazz or Rickenbacker or Thunderbird Bass instead of a Fender P-Bass.
But other than that y'all sound excellent and love how you're remaining true to The Original Arrangement, while giving it a Hard Rock Edge to it and I can totally dig it Brothers ✌🏾🤟🏾

I like both of your versions, acoustic and this hard rock. I think I like this hard rock version a tad more. Great vocals, drums, bass, and guitar! The guitar solo is the closest to the original, as any I have heard. Great performance!

Great job on one of my favorites. I first heard this song in 1973 when I was a senior in college. For almost 50 years I thought the line "there's a girl my lord in a flat bed ford" went "there's a girl my lord, a fat, big Ho, slowing down to take a look at me." My wife howled with laughter when she found this out before she set me straight.
