Today, we've put together a vlog-style video of an eco-friendly day using 618 Scallop Powder (scallop shell baking powder), which has been requested by many of you. We've put a lot of thought into this video, including hints on how to use it and why it's better to use this kind of product, so we'd be happy if you could take a look.
The Scallop Powder we sell at Kogakushoten is very popular. It is a multipurpose powder made from upcycling scallop shells, which are originally industrial waste.
When dissolved in water, it becomes more basic (alkaline), and can be used in place of all kinds of household detergents, such as for cleaning, washing, and washing vegetables and fruit. What's especially great is that, despite being 100% natural, it also deodorizes and sterilizes.
The advantage of scallop powder is that it has both a strong deodorizing effect and a strong sterilizing effect. If there is one disadvantage, it is that the particles are about the same size as baking soda, so if you dissolve it in water, the mist spray may easily become clogged. If the spray nozzle becomes clogged, you can unclog it by soaking it in citric acid water. Alternatively, you can also try increasing the basicity, allowing the particles to sink to the bottom, and then only filling the mist spray with the alkaline water on top. ■How to use Scallop Powder
・Removal of residual pesticides, wax and bacteria that cause food poisoning from the “surface” of vegetables and fruit (1g per 1L of water)
