We live in England, and when we went to Florida for a holiday, my dad and uncle's first stop was an all-you-can-eat restaurant.
They ate until they could barely stand up, and had to wait half an hour before they went to pay. When they did, the cashier asked them
"Is that all you guys had?!"
If they had an NHS over there, 90% of its budget would go on obesity-related conditions. If not more.

The thing is, the owner is only giving us what we wanted. He tried getting his customers on the right path of a balanced diet and active life, but they'd rather just cheat themselves. We rather eat ourselves to death, so he obliged. Want to prove him right? Don't eat at the heart attack grill and emphasize it has killed people, its what he wants. Yet people still regularly eat there, he makes a profit, despite the literal corpse on the counter. He has brought the ashes to tables when customers asked. He's gained the system: raise enough awareness about the health risks of fast food that people start eating healthier, or he makes bank on our hedonistic lifestyles. We brought this on ourselves.
And for those who say he preys on people with eating disorders, he has been more than happy time and time again to tell them how each of his food items would kill them, say that smoking a pack of cigarretes would be better than one the meals (it was the vegetarian option on his menu at one point) show them a literal cremated corpse to their faces and tell them how long it took for their restaurant to kill him. No smokes or mirrors, no lies, he will straight up say you shouldnt eat here if you value your life. Then be more than happy to give you a free burger when they say "I don't care". It's a free country, he can't force you on a diet, it defeats the purpose of breaking bad habits. So why not make you an example? Not his fault it makes more money.

This really should have been about big tobacco. I know it seems irrelevant now since smoking's gone out of fashion in the West. But apparently Philip Morris and Imperial Tobacco, etc have moved most of their business to places like Indonesia, where there aren't really any regulations for smoking. And their target demographic is absolutely kids. They put billboards outside of schools, that is 85% of schools in Jakarta had adverts for cigarettes visible from them. 29% of the Indonesian population older than 15 years (yes 15) are regular smokers. Even about 19% of children aged 13-15 smoke regularly. I hate that this feels like scare mongering. But I was just surprised to learn all of this because it's so different from what we're used to in the west now.
Oh yeah and there was that 2 year old Indonesian kid who went viral like 10 years ago because he smoked 2 packs a day. Although I just looked him up and was glad to learn he did quit. Replacing it with chocolate lol. He got overweight from the chocolate. But he even worked that off. He's still a bit heavy set, but he's obviously made a lot of progress. And he tries to educate other people about it. Apparently his dad still smokes and he gives him shit for it every time. Saying "if I can quit it then why can't you?" And I mean, he's got a good point. But that's part of what makes it so hard to stop smoking there if you want. Is it's absolutely everywhere. The ads, the shops, ewet it your own house. Just like the 50's in America.
It's as if they're still living 50-70 years ago back when smoking was still in fashion and considered cool and nobody cared about it or whatever.

It was not as nearly over-the-top as the Vegas restaurant, but the idea was super clear. I'm not sure if they still do, but back in Arizona you could get a basic burger, pretty much a basic meal and you didn't need to consume the crazy burgers they are serving in Vegas. It also seems as if the Vegas restaurant has doubled-down on their "heart attack" theme. Well, either way, they are not at fault, people can choose to eat elsewhere.
