I'm glad you made this. I'm having serious problems with this model changing channels "accidentally" if I bump it while it's on my duty belt. Is there a way to lock this onto a channel? I'm guessing not....Incredibly irritating.
Thank you! That's a great question. I think in CPS (Programming Software) the channel selector can be locked. I think even with the keypad lock enabled, the channel selector will still work. Hope this helps.
What do you normally use this radio for? I've been looking at getting a XPR3000e series or 75e series to monitor some DMR business/university campus safety channels but worried about affiliation.
I usually use the radio to monitor local DMR and some public safety stuff in the area. I wouldn't bee worried about affiliation. in CPS you can always set up the radio for RX only operation.
You have to go though Motorola Online and create an account. Once you've done that, you sign a license agreement which allows you to purchase software. Business Online.motorolasolutions.com is the website
@@michaelacri2875 I’m sure it is the Bluetooth capable model I have, I was able to connect my iPhone to it but not my wireless headphones. It’s a work radio and a coworker had an inquiry on connecting wireless headphones or a headset as they don’t want her having a wire connected to her radio for some odd reason.
The only reason I want to get this radio, is because it has synthesized voice on it, it tells what's going on on the radio, because I am blind. Ham radios don't come with voice other than Kenwood. That I know of I don't care about the price, I need it. Good program.

Are you able to connect Bluetooth headphones/headset to this radio without the EID? Or must you purchase it?
You can buy the Bluetooth capable model. It's about the same price as the non Bluetooth capable model. The EID is about $80 USD.

Can you listen on other peoples radio? While the mic is not pressed in? Like eavesdropping on other radios while they’re not in use?
You can use a feature called remote monitor but it's only available on certain system types

Great point Ron! The voice announcement feature is certainly very handy to have.
@@michaelacri2875 Hello, I own a new XPR7550e with CPS 2.0, what is the setting to enable it to announce channels audibly? Thanks.
@@MarkWhitmer if you go into the top left there should be a section to manage voice announcement

It's 2020. This level of video production is unacceptable. 11 year olds make better videos.
You are a true Karen. What value to your offer?
