Gaahls Wyrd is a fantastic trip. One ov my favorite band. The beginning ov this EP is wonderful. What a mesmerizing atmosphere. DARK METAL SHAMANISM. GAAHL IS AMAZING as usual. We can hear some evolutions in his sensual voice. Total respect. GW is great!
This is a phenomenal album - surpassed all my expectations set by the first album. A smooth rajectory of all encompassing, imposing, atmospheric black metal - like being engulfed in a mountainside blizzard. Rugged intense. The climax of Awakening Remains is stunning. What a riff.
took me some time to realise the strongest influence on the vocals - beyond dawn it is! a more blackended version (without the brass) that has such a strong 90s dark vibe. Came without any expectations and ended up hooked up! Great EP!
I am sitting in a dark room. I lit candles at the statue of Thor. Just saw that the mini-album has been uploaded., I turned it on. Is beautiful. Perfect moment.
the seed is super SWANS-y... anyway I like Gaahl's departure from black metal with WYRD and into more dead can dance... swans.. bowie even... territories. For sure black metal needs to evolve.

The first two songs, by which someone not knowing this band might get bored because of their dark slow mood, are like a great fake for the following tracks! Yeah someone is also me, when the third track started I thought the album was over and the next video got started 🤣 Kinda felt shocked by a loudest clock ringing to get me up.
