Very tangential, but now I feel it is a grave oversight from the VtM crew that we have never gotten a story where a bunch of Gangrel Mariners start doing their thing in Rokea (weresharks) territory. As that would be a different kind of a horror story for the villains. To put things in perspective, even by Werewolf standards the Rokea seriously don't fuck around.
That would be a sick story! WoD has so many fun story concepts just waiting to be written about. I say as I look to all of the WoD lore in Africa. Establish the coolest shit and they haven't done anything with it for years.

I read ages ago the book series where Gangrel ended up leaving Camarilla. The funny thing is that while I cannot for the life of me remember the cause of the action, I still recall after reading it thinking how stupid the scene was on page. Like Xavier basically came in, announced that Gangrel was bouncing from the Camarilla and exited the room in full drama mode. Even if the reasons might have been valid, I legit don't remember, as a scene it was hilariously awkward. As for the clan itself, it is one of those funny factions where I notice how much my own perception of them has changed over the years. When I was younger, I thought they had this cool mystique to them, while now it feels like they. Are. Trying. So. Much. This is not to imply that liking the clan is somehow related to that, I've just noticed that same personal reaction to a lot of things that feel core 90s.

I do love that feel for VtM at times, but yeah. There are a lot of elements in Gangrel that is just very 90s. And for exactly the reasons you put, its why I held my judgement on Xavier's leaving the clan. Having not read it, the scene description and reason sounded legit. Honestly a fair reason too. But we both know this as 40k fans. Sometimes the quality difference between lore as written to lore as described is pretty big. All it takes is a writer to just bungle the dialogue and scene to make what could have been a good point a stupid one lol. I do want to read the clan books at some point. I just have to get them all. Then the time since the most convenient book time for me is audiobook form lol.
Tzimisce and Lasombra are gonna be the soonest picks for the next clan covered. I love them too much not to. The exact order depends on how I'm feeling. And Baali might be a bit of a wait lol. I plan to cover all the main clans before going to the minor ones. Though they would be the first one cause I have a soft spot for anything demon related.
1. I always liked the story: Caine made Ravnos,Ravnos (2nd generation) made his sister&Enoia Ravnos was into Mischief. Enoia caused Ravnos to be caught&left to the sun then she tried to take over,but was cast out & cursed. 2. Xaviar fought a high generation Toreador with The Eye of Hazimel (not 3rd generation&slightly active)) which allowed the Toreador to use maxed out levels of Koldunism/elemental blood sorcery & nearly wiped out every Gangrel by melding them into the landscape or drowning them in lava. 3. One of my favorite clans or Bloodlines: the City Gangrel Antitribu ultimate city hunters Don't get along with the rest of the Gangrel & don't live,dwell in forests,etc. Celerity,Obfuscate&Protean 5e don't exist 😔 Hope lies in the imagination of the dreamers.
